Anyone out there who is feeling low and lonely in the third trimester. I have felt so cheerful until now.

My patner lives in Scotland and is not moving down until the Birth. Do not feel supported and I am more impatient and grumpy and worrying at night. Cannot seem to shift it.
I do not feel I can go to antnatal groups alone. Isolated.

Congratulations Arranoxford! Flowers
Will this be your first child?

I think it's natural that you fell isolated when you're without your partner. Having a baby is a blessing and I LOVED being pregnant but yet, it was very scary at times. Life is about to change drastically so it's normal that you feel nervous about it. Let the feeling pass. It will get better. Think about all the exciting aspects of pregnancy - think of names, of a room for the baby, clothes for baby, plan your first trip away ect.

Take care and stay cool. Have naps and go slow. Smile

Hi,

Really sorry to hear you are feeling like this! Low feelings hit me strangely enough at 33 weeks too and I had a couple of days of feeling really really down and teary. I hope it is something that will pass for you too. Have you spoken to your midwife about it? I would at your next appointment, so at least she is aware and can support you. You could ask for referral to a counsellor?

Hi, so sorry you're feeling down.

As ButteryJam says above speak to your midwife - she may well be able to refer you on for further emotional support.

My boyfriend lives 4000 miles away so I empathise completely with what you say about not feeling supported. All I really want is for him to give me a hug when I feel down and he can't - it's very hard.

I go to my classes on my own and nobody says anything, there are some that are women only if you would feel more comfortable attending those? Ask your midwife.

You've done so well to cope up to now - try to keep positive and remember that it's completely ok to get sick of being pregnant by 33 weeks! I'm 32 weeks and feel so fed up! x
