Hi all, this is my first post on mumsnet and any thoughts should be very welcome...

I'm 30 yrs old, approx 11 stone most of the time, 5'7", size 12-14, and this is my first baby. Occasionally I dip to just under 11 stone and more usually I'm around 11 stone 2lb. As of today (15w6d) I'm still bang on 11 stone 2 lb.

I'm in good physical health, am active and eat well (by which I mean I eat a good, varied diet...and also a lot of it...)

I used to do some ballet and yoga and have basically been holding in my little pot belly for the past 30 years, so right now it's very hard to tell whether I have a bump coming or not, but certainly to the casual observer I don't. If I look very hard in the mirror and squint, I think I can see the tiniest hint of a bump appearing, but maybe this is just optimism...and my standard pot belly.

All was fine at the three month scan and I haven't had any morning sickness - just tiredness and occasional lack of appetite, although I feel like I've made up for that each time by being ravenous a few hours later.

I have my 4-month antenatal check tomorrow, and I'll talk to the midwife then, but I'm just trying to allay my fears slightly by asking whether anyone else had the same experience, and whether I should be dong anything different?!

Thanks very much in advance

I am also 16 weeks pregnant and haven't gained any weight at all. I'm sure it will come though! I was a bit overweight to begin with so am not expected to have gained as much as people who are at the right weight for their height but if everything was fine at the scan and the midwife is happy then I wouldn't worry.

Enjoy this. I wasn't in maternity clothes until 7 months with my first pg and have been in giant mummy pants and elastic trousers since 8 weeks with this one. !!Grin

no weight gain at almost 16 weeks, but have a very obvious bump already and cant button anything up :(

Dc2 I didn't gain I lost 1.7st and gained that back + 2/3ibs at the end so was basically just over my pre preg weight it can be just as normal don't worry the body is going through all sorts of things :) ps it didnt affect baby at all he was born a very healthy 9ibs. Each person and even each pregnancy reacts dif to it. I gained 4st with ds1 then nothing really with ds2. Currently preg with ds3 and gained about 2ib so far with this one x

I lost weight during my first trimester with DC2, whereas I had put on 7lbs by that stage with DC1!

I know plenty of people who didn't look any different until at least 20 weeks and others who looked ready to pop by then - as others have said, it's such an individual thing. My mother is convinced that anyone who puts on maternity clothes before they are about 6 months preggers just 'wants' to look pregnant. Hmm But that's a whole other thread...

I'm 35 weeks I look full term I can't fit into any of my own clothes and have a very healthy happy active baby I've gained a whole pound during this pregnancy. My Midwife has said its very very good and personally I'm hoping it means after the birth I might be able to fit into some of the many pairs of jeans I owned but didn't fit into pre-pregnancy Grin

My bump didn't appear until 24 weeks and no-one is missing it now you are obviously quite well toned your body has plenty of time to make up for that lack of appetite and bump and trust me it will.

Should also point out this is DC2 but the same thing happened with DD including being asked by a Midwife if I was expecting triplets and I weigh far more than you too Smile

This is all very encouraging, thanks ladies! I know you can't give me definitive answers but strangely it does help to know that everyone had different experiences and that there's therefore no right answer, as it were.

Judith that is my mother's take on it exactly...("well I didn't need to buy any special clothes...I just wore my normal things, but unbuttoned" etc etc...)

PeachActiviaMinge (great name, btw) - do you mean only one pound overall, at 35 wks - not even weight of the actual baby plus one pound?? That's amazing, and admirable!
