Just wondering how everyone else is getting on at work trying to keep pg a secret (early ladies obviously)?!! Anyone struggling with anything or done anything you're sure gives the game away? I was finding it difficult with sickness but luckily never actually threw at work just beforehand. Now struggling with the dramatic hunger, need to eat pretty much every hour or so which is very out of character - have a handbag full of treats I keep trying to discreetly shovel into my mouth!! I'm sure I must have been clocked!!!!! Anyone else feeling like you're part of spooks?!

I struggled with the constant cups if tea being made for me. Normally I'm a tea guzzler, but when I got my BFP I decided to cut down to one cup a day. Couldn't keep making excuses so I accepted them and chucked them down the sink when nobody was looking lol

I sympathise! I told my boss very early, mainly so I had someone "onside". I've still only told one other person, but telling my teams tomorrow(and bricking it about telling them). I found copious cups of peppermint tea worked well to stave off a bit of hunger, I guess you could always blame a new diet on the need to snack little and often? It does get a bit easier!

Haha pink apple that made me laugh!! Luckily I don't have that issue at my work but can just picture it! bjxa my work are very hot on diets so the mere mention of the word would bring more attention, though I'm sure I'll be finding something else i have to be sneaky about soon! Like going to the toilet... A lot - have been taking documents with me so looks like an going to another dept... The things we do!!!

Excited, tell me about it! I do however have a nonserious pre-existing medical condition which is handy for explaining away appointments! I have also developed a huge penchant for weird and wonderful stationery, for which I have to visit an unpopulated floor for loo breaks... It's a shame your colleagues are so hot on diets. My lot thankfully don't notice and we're big on office treats, so easier to snack. Are you in an open plan or are you in with just a few people?

I am struggling as most ppl have noticed im not having my usual 5 cups of tea ans coffee as ive cut it all out.

My collegue is gettign suspicious but its ok so far,. im not sick just exhausted so they think im run down!!

My hubbie doesnt want us to tell them until i am at least 4 months but dont think i can hold on that long...

ExhaustedMamasita · 14/03/2013 10:15

Eeeek! Told my boss yesterday? what a relief!!! I haven?t broadcasted it as of yet? feel a bit shy as I?ve only been there 6 months but I?m sure people will start clocking on soon enough. Thick, baggy winter jumpers have been my life saviour and the fact that I'm a keen herbal drinker anyway!

I have a feeling some people think I?ve put on a few pounds and lost my mojo a bit from when I started back in Oct... always tired!

I'm 10 weeks and people at work were suspicious a couple of weeks ago. I was going to tell one colleague/friend today as it's good for someone to know say if you had a dizzy spell or something like that. I'm finding the hunger thing really difficult this week, either feeling too queasy to consider much or about to pass out from hunger, then because I've been feeling queasy I don't have much to food with me apart from chocolate that makes it worse. I'll try and be more organised from now on. Hope little one is getting enough goodness xx

StuckOnARollercoaster · 14/03/2013 12:40

Unfortunately I was rubbish at hiding it and one of my colleagues jokingly said 'are you pregnant or what?' and I decided I'd had enough of trying to hide it and said 'actually yes I am!'
My giveaways were the switch to decaf tea, the snacks and the fact I regularly looked a sickly green colour!
Good luck to those of you with your sneaky trips to the stationary cupboard! Hope it works better than my attempt!

It is very tricky! I live overseas where there's no maternity rights (only 45 days off!) so i'm under no obligation to share anything with my employers until i want to. also am not massively interested in everyone asking me how i am every two minutes/pregnancy being the only topic of conversation.

it has proved quite tricky as i work long hours (16 hour working days last week) and was dead on my feet.

I find a lot more bronzing powder than usual and brightly coloured clothes are distracting from my knackered grey face!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 14/03/2013 13:11

I went very red a few times when people asked me if we were going to have more children but apparently no-one noticed!

I feel ur pain! I'm taking some holiday which is nice so I have 2 weeks off hiding it, but slightly worried none of my uniform will fit when I go back (I'll be 10 weeks then) I'm sure people are talking/guessing but I might just be paranoid! x
