Hi all

I'm 31 wks had my jab yesterday and felt ok but last nite I was so hot in bed and this morning I've been sick, have an upset tummy and a headache. My arm is still sore from the jab too. Tried having some food as I was really hungry + I feel worse for it. Baby is fine very active just resting on my bladder which is so uncomfy.

Anyone else had this with the jab ?

Nope, infact I totally forgot I'd even had it til just now!

It's not a live vaccine so it doesn't actually have the potential to make you ill. It's more likely you picked something up whilst in the Dr's surgery Smile

I found the flu jab made me poorly too, the midwife said perhaps I just don't responed to injections very well. Hopefully will pass by 2moro hate being sick :(

Yes I felt how you describe. The nurse said sometimes it can make you feel as if you are getting the flu and to take paracetamol. I don't think it lasted for more than 24 hours or so but my arm was sore and swollen for a good couple of weeks. Hope you feel better soon Smile.

My arm was sore for two days but the nurse said it probably would as I had the other bits of the jab in 2009 for travel(tetanus, polio and something else I forget) so might get a reaction at the injection site cos I already had antibodies for the other parts, she was right!

I was exactly the same as you - ended up being sent home from work the next day. My friend who's pregnant had the same experience so had prepared me for it.

I had no probs with the flu jab!

Oh no, I am not looking forward to this! :(

Don't worry buttery, most people are fine. I had mine at 32 weeks and had a bit of an achy arm for 2 days, otherwise wouldn't have known I'd had it.

Good tip though is to ask for it to not be in the arm you sleep on. I can only sleep on my left so had the jab in my right arm, despite being right hand dominant. Very good decision!
