Grumpy, uncomfortable and hormonal - anyone out there sharing my pain?

Hi,

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and although my bump is quite small I just feel FULL UP of baby, short of breath, uncomfortable in my bladder and tight everywhere, like a fully blown up balloon. I have been grumpy and stressy with my boss, my DH and my darling DS today and feel constantly on the verge of tears. I am panic nesting, throwing boxes around in the loft and stomping around the house and I don't like myself very much at the moment. Can anyone identify? Any tips for snapping out of it?

As I've posted elsewhere I find being active helps - it frees up my body a bit. I do feel hormonal too though and at 32 weeks I really want the time to fly! But try and enjoy - with me this is DC2 and my last (at least that is the intention)

Thanks yes, I haven't had time to do my exercise DVD recently (too much panic nesting) but you're right I always feel a bit better after that... I may have to do some apologising to everyone later...

Hi there Smile

I am too 28 weeks, and im a hormonal tornado. Im not too uncomfortable, although i am quite big. But im not sleeping great and getting tired. Am amazed i have any friends left, my boyfriend hasnt left me and i still have a job. I dont feel much myself either!

I did have a good cry the other day as things got on top of me and that helped alot. Felt much less mental afterwards.

Good luck, youre not alone xx

35 weeks and feeling your pain I felt like physically hurting anyone who so much as breathed near me today I evrn snapped at the dog for snoring Blush unfortunately the "full up" feeling just gets worse and worse ive found roll on my maternity leave starting at 37 weeks! two weeks to go!!!

MisselthwaiteManor · 12/03/2013 05:39

Only 23 weeks here and I'm still comfortable walking around but I'm already starting to feel full up, I have such sympathy for those of you nearer the end, how do you even breathe!

Hi everyone,

thanks for replying, I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I almost wish my bump would get bigger to relieve some of the pressure in my ribs/pelvis. Have managed to be a bit nicer to people today but the overwhelming rage is quite unpredictable and unmanageable when it takes over me -

I like the idea of getting angry with the dog for snoring Yummie, I felt quite murderous towards my desk chair yesterday because my back support cushion kept slipping down. My DH is walking on eggshells, he looked quite relieved when I smiled at him yesterday evening when he got home - I feel like I'm the toddler, not my DS Smile

LoganMummy · 12/03/2013 20:56

Peka you've explained exactly how I feel! 28 weeks and snapping at everyone. I don't like myself much at the moment either Sad

MrsSpagBol · 13/03/2013 12:47

I am 22 weeks (oh the shame) and feel like a balloon about to burst - no idea how to survive the next 20 weeks. Am apologising all the time but feel SO uncomfortable irritable big bumbling unfit huge fat etc etc etc - I HATE THIS. thank you for starting this thread have just apologised to DH.

purrpurr · 13/03/2013 12:52

32 weeks here and also hormonal, uncomfortable, exhausted, etc. I have been a professional people pleaser for 28 years and for the last 7 months, have been argumentative, hostile, offensive, defensive... Ugh. It seems to have put my relationships with family and friends under the microscope and a LOT of them have big holes in them. Which makes me sad, and angry. I find crying buckets at least three times a week really helps. That and a never-ending supply of crisps.

DreamingOfTheMaldives · 13/03/2013 14:59

I'm only 16 weeks pregnant and despite not having any issues physically, have been in a proper grump for the last couple of days! After spending the day grumpy I then get tearful! I was even in a grump with the dog last night (and I never ever get grumpy with him) and then felt mean so had to go and give him extra snuggles and treats.

Heaven help me (and everyone else, including the dog) when I am into the third trimester!

Peka · 13/03/2013 19:39

Ah Purrpurr I'm sorry you feel like that! I find it can be hard for people when you're usually the supportive one and you need the roles reversed - it's just not what they signed up for and you can be left feeling very disappointed, I completely understand! Have a Thanks from me.

The weather got it in the neck from me today - bloody SNOW! In March! I should explain that a lot of my panic nesting has taken the form of growing plants from seed all over my house which will not do well if not put outside soon but I can't risk my little babies out in this weather (I know I am completely insane BTW). Also it has been WINTER since last JULY!!! Everyone at work was all "Ooh look at the snow!" - Whatever.

Ah feel better now...

37 weeks. It's everyone else who is a stupid, annoying, argumentative wanker. It's not me being PG. It's them! Idiots. Angry

MrsSpagBol · 13/03/2013 21:49

"That and a never-ending supply of crisps. "

I second the crisp remedy PurrPurr - am working through large bags of Walkers at an alarming rate. Blush
