I'm 38 weeks today, and my little one seems to like to stretch her feet out- she really pushes hard sometimes and you can see the little foot sticking out. It gets quite uncomfortable sometimes, almost hurts. Have other people experienced this? Is it normal for baby to push so hard against me?

Hi there. Yes I have exactly the same at 40 weeks and have had it for a number of weeks.

Yes my dd did this from earlier than that ! It was very wierd at first but then I used to touch her feet lol

Thank you! Glad to know other people have experienced! Will just try and relax when it hurts!

completely normal. I remember DS pushing his foot out so far I could hold his foot by the heel. Very gently like, but he shifted it quickly when I let go.

I was also in hospital for a week before he was born, and they had to note on the fetal monitor print out that it was just the baby moving around - usually they only get the sort of readings that I had when you're in labour.

He he I get this too. Not with my DS though, his feet were firmly tucked in. This is DD and I think she's training to be a ballerina already! I've had it for ages, now 39 weeks.

To add that there is not a lot of room left at 38 weeks so baby stretching can feel a lot more painful than before!

I'm nowhere near 38 weeks yet (20 and counting) but my mum said she knew I had a temper before I was even born because she used to hold my foot and I would kick even harder to get her to let go!

Least you've only got a few weeks left...
