Anyone else's little one kick down into your vaginal area? Lol
I honestly sometimes feel like its foot could just come out when it kicks.
Is this normal? Don't remember this with my 1st!

Yep. But it's punches not kicks as he's head down! I don't remember the jabs from last time either.

ditsydoll · 07/03/2013 19:07

I'm not sure which way around mine is, saw the midwife today and she said she couldn't tell as my tummy muscles where tight... I think she's just abit dozy tbh!

It's like a knife to the crotch at times. Lol

Also like electric shocks when I walk - I think I'm maybe a bit more slack in that area this time around so he's quite low Blush

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 07/03/2013 19:14

Yup, baby has been head down for over a fortnight (am 33 weeks now). Electric shocks is a good description. Not sure if its fists or head butts but man does it hurt! Stops me in my tracks!

shelly81 · 07/03/2013 20:11

Yup all the time lol 30 weeks here with dc 3 my mw said its because of anterior placenta which I never had last times :-)) xxx

sleepyhead · 07/03/2013 20:20

Oh, I've got an anterior placenta too. That must be it then.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 07/03/2013 20:31

I haven't though, mine's definitely posterior!

Havingkittens · 07/03/2013 20:39

I've had this for a while now. It really uncomfortable. Sometimes I think my eyebrows are going to shoot right off the top of my head from the surprise and it always seems to happen when I'm having a face to face conversation with someone, which is always amusing to explain away.

My baby was breech until a few days ago and I've had this sensation regardless of which way up it is. I do have an anterior placenta though.

Ditsy, I suspect that lack of X-Ray vision is probably more likely than doziness as a reason for your midwife not being able to tell which way up the baby is. My midwife was convinced mine was head down, which it may have been when she first checked at 28 weeks, but she thought it was in the same position 3 weeks later until a scan showed otherwise. If you have an anterior placenta, the baby can be quite far back so it's hard to feel exactly how it is lying.

ditsydoll · 08/03/2013 13:02

Glad I'm not alone! I do have an anterior placenta, so maybe that's not helping lol, although you'd think I had no placenta as this baby seems to find a way to kick everywhere! I'm sure there are extra limbs in there at times. Lovely to have a nice active baby though (except when I'm trying to sleep :)lol)

I have anterior placenta too and from 34 weeks on had the same sensations as you. I thought I was just being a wimp but it really does feel like electricity or a sharp jab. Not sure if head or fists but it can be pretty shocking when you are walking and get that sensation.

BraveLilBear · 08/03/2013 17:47

So that's what it is... Keep getting this on and off and put it down to ligament pain or something but electric shocks is perfect description. Found out this week that I have an anterior placenta too though it hasn't stopped it from kicking me pretty much everywhere thus far so maybe that's it?

MumaBex · 08/03/2013 17:54

Ive had the same pains too. Makes walking around the supermarket interesting!! And ouch. was told on tuesday that baby has spun round to be head down too (36 plus 5 now) so am hoping that these pains are the start of something. Cant remember having them with my first, but he sat breech the whole time and i went straight to section.
