Feeling bad for my poor diet

I'm 33 weeks and from weeks 7 to 17 had severe HG, literally could not keep anything down, if I was lucky I'd keep in a couple of mouthfuls of food per day.

Now I'm feeling better and still working full time, but I'm worried I'm not eating enough of a varied diet.
Eg this morning I had two slices of toast with peanut butter as two glasses of orange juice.
Then on my morning break at work I had a big bowl of coco pops. I was also nibbling on sweeties and dried fruit that had been brought in. Then at lunch I had a cheese and tuna toastie with orange juice. Then I had a slice of birthday cake with a cup of tea and packet of quavers. Ate an apple.
Now I'm about to have a jacket potato with cheese.

I'm not eating enough veg am I? This is a typical day for me.
I'm worried that what I'm eating now is what the baby will only eat when it's old enough.

Do not worry!!! I barely ate anything first 12 weeks of this pg. now 31 weeks and baby is thriving. It sounds like you are getting enough carbs and protein- the baby will take your vitamins - I know that's not great for you but you can replenish them at some point. Try and take a multivitamin supplement.

Sounds pretty good to me. I just had crackers and cheese for dinner! Think you are doing ok - I counted five portions of fruit in there. Smile

Tuna, jacket potato, OJ and cheese don't sound bad to me at all!

The only pregancy book I have bought (so far) is "Do Chocolate Lovers Have Sweeter Babies". It has some really interesting material on the effect of pregnancy diet on the likelihood of the child having diabetes or cancer later on in life, and how certain foods can help in countering inherited dispositions to these diseases. (I am obviously not citing with great accuracy.)

Full of enthusiasm, I then stocked up on sardines, eggs and broccoli - only to find that "morning" a.k.a. "all day" sickness means that I am happy if I can pack away some chocolate! The very thought of sardines makes my stomach churn. So much for good intentions!
