Breast pads - washable or disposable?

I'm finally getting myself organised and buying things for my hospital bag and the first couple of weeks after the birth. There's just this one thing I can't decide on.
Has anyone used the washable breast pads? Are they any good?
Looking at the price of disposables versus washable I think the latter work out cheaper in the long run but wonder if they are as useful?
Any personal experience with either you could share I would really appreciate, thanks :).

I used disposables at night when really leaky and from about 2 months washable ones in the day - I barely leaked in the day as DS fed every 2 hours until 6 months but just wore the washable ones for reassurance - he also slept from 8pm until 4:30am from about 3 months so I'd end up really leaky at night and the disposable ones seemed to stay put better when I was asleep.

I know you can't use these before feeding has properly established (first four weeks I think is the recommendation) but I loved using LilyPadz. I tried washable and disposable before but always had a visible line with them. Loved the LilyPadz!

Haha sorry I meant a wash a day. If only I could just do it once a week I'd be in heaven!

You can buy huge packs of washable a on etsy, or the nappy sites like little lambs or wee notions, and there's lots of tutorials to easily make your own. I used disposables last time and they cost a fortune. This time I have a huge pile of washables ready. I def won't run out and they haven't cost me much at all from nappy classified sites.
