15 weeks twins, overdone it today and feeling poorly

Advice/reassurance sought.

I am 15+1 with twins. This morning I was feeling quite spritely and following the school run (mile there and back) I did vacuuming, cleaned the kitchen and lots of household work for about 3 hours. Rested after lunch.

Feel quite unwell now, tummy ache and shattered. No bleeding or severe cramps however.

Have I just overdone it?

Possibly, I had lots of pains when I was pregnant with my 2. A lot of it was stretching and growing.

A soak in the bath used to help with the aches and pains.

I was shattered quite a lot too, try to take it easy- your growing 2 babies. Smile

I was absolutely wiped out for the first 16 weeks or so. Around week 20 I started to feel better, no nausea or anything, and I took the dog for a long walk because I felt so well. I got spectacularly, epically lost, and basically ended up hiking up a massive hill in summer heat for about 4 hours!
Two weeks later and epic SPD kicked in, and I could barely walk to the car without wincing with pain!

Not sure whether the moral is to keep active while you can, or put your feet up at every opportunity?! Twin pregnancies are kind of brutal on your body though, so just listen to your body as much as you can I guess/

Bloody hell sorry for the silly amount of posts, you will probably do this anyway but if it doesn't get any better might be an idea to contact gp / mw incase it's a uti.

I also just remembered that I had pains at around 16 weeks, turned out to be constipation. Prune juice helped.

Not at all Mono, really appreciate you and others being out there to help. my doctor rang on Friday to advice that my urine tests did show signs of an infection but as I had had no symptoms whatsoever, we decided to not do anything. Could a uti cause this tummy ache, and is a uti serious?

Yes I think a uti can cause stomach pain, I don't think they are very pleasant especially if your pregnant and its best to get sorted sooner rather than later.

Hi holidays.

Sorry i have not been on for a while so not replied to our other thread in multiples!
I was a bit the same at that stage. Felt like i could very easily over do it. I would still treat the uti if it has come up - did they dip test or send to lab? Its not serious if it gets treated fairly swiftly but if it gets left it can make you quite poorly with fever and pain so best to get some anti biotics down your neck.
It may or may not help you to know that your not alone feeling poorly. Ive had a horrendous cold for two weeks that has left me feeling rather poorly today.
With general poorlyness and growing two babies, just remember that things like house work can wait. Try to rest as much as you can. X

Taking all of your advice, and off to bed and will ring docs in morn. Thank you all! The wonders of mn, the only person here in rl to speak to was a rather grumpy dh who I think grunted when I explained my concern earlier..!
