29 weeks and not much movement from baby

Hi ladies. I'm 29+3 and am worried baby isn't moving enough. He does move about throughout the day but not much. I've tried doing the kick counter at night when I lay down but get no where near 10 movements in an hour. Midwife didnt seem too bothered. I didn't start feel him moving until very late anyway, apparently my tummy isn't very sensitive. Anyone had experience with an underactive baby? I'm trying not to get worried about it!

Is there a pattern to his movements, I find my baby (am 29+2) has more movements in the evening as he sleeps alot, and a few thumps during the day. The fact that your baby is actually moving is a good sign but if you really are concerned still raise it with your midwife again.

There is a kind of pattern. He moves when I get into bed. Not much, and especially if I lay on my side and slightly on the bump! He's been moving more in the day time, just little jabs here and there. I'm very active all day doing 8 hours shifts and constantly on my feet so I just expect he's asleep most of the time! Just wanted to check it sounds normal x

I'm 28+1 and asked my midwife about this. She said to monitor from 30 weeks, and just keep an eye on how active the baby is (my baby has active and not so active periods) and to call the hospital after 9pm if I thought the baby had been quiet all day. She did say that if I felt at all concerned, to give hem a call, and when I ended up in the delivery suite a couple of weeks ago after a small bleed there were posters all over the place encouraging you to call if you were concerned

Has he always been like this? My dd1 didn't move much throughout, but just constant enough for me not to worry (too much). She was a laid back baby and liked her sleep (now a stroppy 14yo!!). Dd2, on the other hand, I'm sure had games of football inside me, and was a lively baby and toddler, now a lively 11yo, and doesn't keep still for very long. Obviously though, it wouldn't hurt to get it checked out if you are worried.

My dd1 didn't move much either. This time round - all the time. Is difficult to detect movement if you are really active; but maybe check again with midwife?

I rarely get 10 movements in an hour. Mine will wriggle around for a while, and then seemingly go to sleep for ages. I have relaxed about this now and stopped stressing, as it is obviously just her pattern. If you are on your feet and busy you are less likely to feel anything.
