Flu & whooping cough jabs when pregnant?

I'm 9 weeks and wonder if I should have these vaccinations? My GP didn't mention either way but am I supposed to proactively ask for them? Would they be recommended? TIA

They're definitely recommended. I had the flu one when I went to see my gp at 7 weeks and whooping cough is later, somewhere between 32-37 weeks I think.

Your midwife will probably talk to you at booking in, but just tell your doctors receptionist that you are pregnant and want a flu jab and they will get you.one.
Whooping cough vaccination is recommended much later - think its between 28 and 34 weeks.

I just booked in for my flu jab around 8 weeks with the nurse - they'll ask if you're 'at risk' and you are when pregnant. They won't do the whooping cough vaccine til you're 28 weeks iirc. Some midwives will offer that. Mine didn't. I asked her at my 28 week appointment and she says just to book in with the practise nurse.

I had my flu jab at 8 weeks ( I'm asthmatic as well so was going anyway but it is recommended). I keep being reminded about whooping cough vaccine every time I go and am having it in a couple of weeks when I'm past 28 weeks. there's some guidance and more info on mgs website x
