Housing whilst pregnant

I recently moved from a 1 bedroom flat due to mould to a mother and baby unit.
I'm 29 weeks pregnant and I can't live here.
The girls are bitchy, rude and there's always some crap going on at night when the staff leave.
I want to move to a studio flat or something! I get housing benifit but its so hard to find places!!
I can't really afford a deposit, but I can get rent in advance from the job centre.
If you know of any places that accept dss in any area in london but croydon, please could you let me know.
I know I'm lucky to have a place, but I feel so stressed. I cry every night and can't sleep due to stress.
Social services won't help me as they moved me here and some how think its the best place for me to be.
I'm 20 btw

Hi - you should be able to get a list of DSS landlords from your local council - just ask them - and also, this website allows you to search for DSS-accepted properties:

www.tenantstips.co.uk/Home/DSS-DHSS-properties-to-rent-on-housing-benefit2/DSS-search-for-houses-and-flats-accepting-DSS-DHSS-and-housing-benefit

You have to sign up but it's free.

Or, can you get references from people who can vouch for you? Teacher/vicar/doctor?

Good luck and let us know how you get on!

check with job centre as sometimes they give emergency cash used to be called a crisis loan to help with deposit in extreme situations. it gets paid back thru your benefits. hth
