I had a group session with 2 other ladies.

Physio was very helpful, went through sitting positions, some exercises and anything we said we were struggling with (getting in/out of car/bed/bath). Was a long list!

We were able to try some exercise ball and special cushions and were given a tubigrip support.

If no improvement in a fortnight we can ring back for a 1-2-1.

Has helped me, fingers crossed for you.

Mine is a group session, basically Pilates run by physio's, and a chance to ask q's at the end. Every area seems to be different though and it might depend how bad it is? The classes and doing the exercises for 20 minutes a day have really really helped me,

Good luck!

I had spd with dd2 from about 30 weeks.
Saw a physio once a week and she was amaaaazing! Just works threw some exercises to make you feel better and each session leaves you feeling more yourself again.

She may also recommend a belt that you wear under your bump and around your pelvis that sort of keeps you altogether...like pregnancy spanksGrin

This time I got a belt & crutches and discharged.
The most therapy I've ever been offered was an exercise sheet.

I got an exercise sheet and tubigrip. That's it!

cupcake78 · 13/02/2013 19:34

In hoping I get more than a sheet if paper! I'm pleased to hear those of you who had the input it really helped.

I'm hoping by getting help sooner I can avoid it becoming to painful.

My physio would realign the joint at the front of my pelvis for me every couple of weeks. Hurt like a bastard but so worth it. Also great advice re sitting, getting in and out of cars etc. I guess it depends on how bad you are. I was horrendous with my first, pretty poor with second and this time around nothing so far at twenty-two weeks. You have my sympathies.
