Has anyone ever heard of these or used them?

Dermoplast

and

Tuck Pads

Both supposed to be excellent post-birth. Thinking of giving it a go.

My sister lives in Montreal and has been given Tucks by the midwifery team after the birth of all three of her kids. She loves them and heartily recommends. Will be interesting to see others' views.

I have a friend who swore by dermoplast. I was given tuck pads and found them very soothing for the post-birth soreness and bruising. I'd definitely get some. Also invaluable was squeezie bottle full of warm water to wash yourself after using the toilet, to avoid rubbing with toilet paper. I used that for weeks. And hospital nurses would tear open one end of a nappy, fill with ice and reseal to make an ice pack. As the ice melted the nappy absorbed the water. I had been given aa gel ice pack but found the homemade version more comfortable s it was softer. Dh learnt the technique and kept me supplied. Hope that's not all tmi!

Buy a pack of paper nappy liners and soak them in witch hazel (you can get both from Boots). You then fold them to the required size and freeze them. They are very soothing to put on top of your sanitary towel, post birth. Really help with the bruising.

Very interesting, I think I may even need these before birth.

Instead of getting Tuck Pads, probably cheaper to get witch hazel and place it on maternity pads?
