How to stop weeing?!

I am getting up at least 5 times every night. I'm 34 weeks pregnant.

I've stopped drinking after 7pm even if I'm thirsty to try and stop this. I have a wee before I get in bed but then I can be up at least a further 5 times throughout the whole night. Sometimes half an hour after I've just been.

It's always full wees that I'm doing and I do the statutory jiggling about, leaning forward etc to empty my bladder but it's really starting to get me down. I'm tired and wondered if anyone else has found a way to combat it.

I don't need to wee as much during the day, but can't force myself to go when there is no urge.

I don't think there's much you can do unfortunately =( At this point your bladder is majorly squashed so just doesn't have the normal capacity (I remember the first wee I did after giving birth.. it was like.. I forgot my bladder could even hold that much!). If it's any consolation I'm only 20 weeks and also need about 4 wees a night!

Practically, you could consider a portable toilet (like the type you'd take camping) that you could put next to the bed so you wouldn't have to go all the way to the toilet.

I could have written this post!!! Am also 34 weeks. However there is nothing you can do apparently. If you restrict water intake you will only bloat as your body will retain it more thinking it will need to store for future.

Sucks but hey pregnancy is not an easy game to play!

Ditto at 33 weeks here. Up every two hrs. Am shattered. Doesn't help when DD1 & 2 have nightmares/get up for a drink etc inbetween!
My baby is breech so wasn't sure if this is why it I much worse this time? (Baby kicking bladder). I have tended to get up in the night once since birth of DD1 so perhaps I have a rubbish bladder?!

Doubt it Helen my baba is head down I'm lucky I have nothing else that needs my attention it he night I guess.

It's just so frustrating, turn over in bed, spend 10 mins getting comfy then have to get out for a wee, after only going half an hour before!

I was similar with DD, it was so annoying and you have my full sympathy! I didn't find any solutions to it though. Having said that, it really was nothing compared to a screechy refluxy newborn, so maybe see it as good practice Wink. This time it's started from about 17 weeks. Baby is very low though. Restricting drinks is not always the answer, as someone else said it can cause more bloating. What position do you lie in? Maybe try a different one, see if it helps at all?

Make sure you sleep with a thick pillow between your legs, if you aren't already - it helps reduce the pressure on your bladder, and also makes it more comfortable to sleep generally.
