My foof...

Sorry about this but I know you ladies are very open and don't mind being exposed to TMI.
I'm 28 weeks and past couple of weeks felt like my vagina has been swollen. I can't see it now from up here but I finally braved looking in a mirror and its looking three times the size. One side is larger that the other.
Also at the opening, I can see what I think is my cervix, it's very low down right to the point of the vaginal entrance...almost looks like a prolapse.
The baby is measuring average but has always spent more time low down than higher up. Maybe it's the pressure of the baby?
It's not painful, or itchy but when I'm walking it feels uncomfortable as it does feel like I'm smuggling a cheeseburger in my knickers!
I heard about vaginal varicose veins but I couldn't see any.
Anyone else had this problem?
Xxx

Oh yes - I feel your pain on this one!

I'm 31 weeks and baby is measuring fairly large, and in the last few days have noticed a lot of swelling down there, and a kind of 'bulge' on one side which is rubbing on my pants when I walk Blush

It seems to be worse if I walk about a lot - I walked a long way on Sunday and my foof was excruciating afterwards.

I have done some reading about it and consensus seems to be its just enlarged blood vessels, probably caused by the pressure from the baby. As you said it could also be a varicose vein, although I'm not sure how to tell (would it look like a big vein sticking out? Or just a general swelling?) Confused

Putting your feet up when you can seems to help relieve the pressure, and I read that warm baths and staying hydrated also help.

Good luck x
