Blame it on the hormones! I felt like this most of my first trimester (just coming up to the end of it now), make a little list of things to do each day to save you moping around and feeling worse. Even if it's just going for a walk and hoovering the living room. If you're feeling sick the distraction might also help you to not focus on that. If you've not told anyone yet you might also want to consider telling a close friend especially someone who's been through it before, I know that really helped me. Try to remember that it's normal to feel like this. Lots of pregnant women do, you have so many worries in your first trimester plus the hormones really can make you feel out of sorts. You'll pick up soon enough. Hope some of that helps a little. xx

Thankyou, I also seem quite moody at times, or irritable. Its really strange and I don't like feeling out of control of my feelings. Ive been crying a lot too, and eating loads which doesn't help with the way I'm feeling. I just feel like i have no energy. So frustrating. I have read that the first trimester is suppose to be the worse :-) x

Make a play list of all your favourite feel good songs. Do something nice for yourself every day.

Totally normal, gurl! I cried all the time, once I cried because my husband wouldn't get me a biscuit. Once at a tomato soup advert... the list goes on. Do whatever makes you feel better, if that means lying around and eating then do that. But definitely give yourself a little list of things to do in between rests, you'll start to feel better in a month or so. And get plenty of sleep, your body and mind is exhausted which isn't helping matters! Feel better soon, and just remember what the end result will be! x

Am feeling the same - we relocated 6 months ago and everything has been going great. The past few days however I have convinced myself it was the worst decision I've ever made and I've ruined my life. I also spent most of Saturday crying at stories in the paper. These hormones have alot to answer for!

Been there! Spend a bit of time on yourself whether its a yoga DVD, dyeing and shaping your eyebrows, a bit of exercise in the gym or playing some music - anything that takes you out of yourself x

Wrap up warm and go for a brisk walk. The fresh air and exercise will give you a boost.

Echoing the above couple of posters for advice - but really - do what you feel like.

Move your body - going for a walk, pottering, wiggling (and singing - even if very off key) to favourite songs/tunes - all these things WILL have an effect on how you feel.

Having said that, even though I "Know" moving would move the mood, still gave myself permission to be soggy on the sofa...! (And still do at 15+3.... although that's far less than it was in the first trimester).
