I'm due on Thursday (24th) so thought I'd start trying to get things going as I'm not keen on being induced. So I used my breast pump for a few mins on each side and one breast started to leak colostrum.

It panicked me a bit so I stopped, does this mean labour is close or am I producing it because I've been messing around!?

No pains apart from the bloody SPD!

It's normal. In my first pregnancy I produced it from about 28 weeks - with this one I've had it from virtually day one! I guess having fed a baby before, my boobs are primed and ready now! Don't worry, you won't "run out" before the baby comes!

I'm 25 weeks and am leaking already! totally normal :)

I leaked from about 18-20 weeks in my first pregnancy and was 9 days late. I never leaked in my second pregnancy and was 4 days early. I really don't think it's an indicator.

I leaked from about 25 weeks and baby was born 15 days late! I did also hand express from 37 weeks and stored the colostrum in the freezer!

Normal. I'm supposed to start 'harvesting' colustrum at around 32-34 weeks so there must be a fair old chance that there's some in there! In case you are wondering (I asked MW!), the colustrum won't run out if you leak some out now - it isn't like there is a finite amount. So it's not the case that if you take some out now there won't be any left for the baby or that your milk will come in early or anything.
