When did you feel your baby move if you have an anterior placenta?

I'm 20 weeks with my first baby and know from the 12 week scan my placenta is anterior. I know that the two reasons (1st baby and anterior) will mean I'm likely to be much later than most but I am starting to wonder when.
Don't seem to have anything that matches the descriptions other than lots of rumbles and grumbles in my tummy but as they are usually accompanied by wind I don't think that's the baby.
So when did you first feel your baby's movements if your placenta is anterior? Thanks

With my first I felt her at around 25 weeks. No bubbles/ripples like people talk about-just proper movements!

This time around 21 weeks. Again missing the little bits just things that were definitely baby!

I have heard of people who don't feel movement until much later than that.

I'm 19 weeks with anterior placenta and first DC and not felt anything yet.
The odd feeling where I wonder what it is, but put it down to my body stretching, wind, etc rather than movements.
It's a bit of a waiting game isn't it?!

Dc1 (not anterior) 20wks
Dc2 anterior gone 30 weeks before I felt anything.
Dc3 anterior since about 13 weeks.

Pretty much after my 20 week scan, first baby for me too so had a while where I wasn't sure if feelings were baby or not, now 34 weeks and there is no mistaking them!! Don't worry, it will come

Thanks for the quick replies... Feeling much more reassured! Seems like there are quite a few more weeks before it may happen and there are a fair number of people in the same position!
It's just raised another question though as to what is the split of anterior to posterior placentas? I guess it's not an equal 50/50 split but I wonder if its more like 10/90 or 40/60? Anyone know?

19 weeks.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 19/01/2013 12:24

24 weeks. By the time I felt them they were full on boots, no fluttery movements at all

milli2512 · 19/01/2013 12:54

I thought I felt some flutters around 18/19wks, but didn't feel definite kicks until around 24wks.

Bibs123 · 19/01/2013 13:31

24 weeks here x

photochick · 19/01/2013 15:58

I was 18 weeks before I felt anything that I could definitely say was the baby moving. It was 22 weeks before I felt any kicks.

DawnOfTheDee · 19/01/2013 16:00

Around 22 weeks for me (1st baby/anterior placenta)

Moominsarescary · 19/01/2013 16:02

16 weeks, dp could feel the baby by 21 weeks. It's my 5th though

peggyblackett · 19/01/2013 16:08

22 weeks with dc3.

brettgirl2 · 20/01/2013 07:30

I didn't think it was any different to posterior tbh.

flutterbynight · 20/01/2013 08:20

I first felt DS move at 18 weeks with an anterior placenta - it felt like popcorn popping, very distinctive and oh so lovely Smile

LPplusOne · 20/01/2013 08:33

Im 37+1 with an anterior and I also felt first popping movements around 18 wks, but didn't really feel consistent or obvious kicks until 22-23ish weeks (iirc).

aussieinde · 20/01/2013 08:33

22 weeks, 1st baby. He hasn't stopped beating me up since!

Pontouf · 20/01/2013 08:44

I had an anterior placenta with my first, felt movement at about 21/22 weeks. I am 29 weeks with DC2 and have a posterior placenta. I have been feeling full on kicks since about 17/18 weeks this time.

shelly81 · 20/01/2013 08:47
