When did dc2 arrival compared to dc1? Truth in the rumour they come earlier?

DD arrived on her due date, wondering if that means (as rumoured) that DS will arrive on due date or earlier?

Any experience that refutes/ confirms the myth of baby arrivals?

DS was 8 days early, DD two weeks early.

ds1 = 35 weeks
ds2 = 40+4
dd = 38

DC1: 34+1
DC2: Being induced tomorrow at 38+4, eek!

I've always been told second babies come earlier too, but apparently not necessarily!

DD1 a week early. DD2 due date arrival

Both mine arrived the day before their due date.

DC1 - born at 38.5
DC2 - am 40.5 and still waiting!!

Dd on time, easy labour, relatively speaking.

Ds was 9 enfuriating days late, contractions started on a weds, stopped and started for several days, baby born on Sunday morning finally, via forceps in theatre.

I was hoping for on time and quick/easy second time round - I was disappointed!

dc 1. 11 days

dc2.. 16 days over due

but you probably didnt want to hear that

Both mine arrived one day earlier too.

DD1 - 40 w + 14 d
DD2 - 40 w + 1 d

SIL - DD1 - 40 w
DD2 - 40 w

Mum - DC1 - 40 w
DC2 - 40 + 2
DC3 - 40 + 14

ds1 - 38 weeks
ds 2 - 32 + 6
ds 3 - currently cooking and hoping stays put (knowing my luck 42 lol)

DS1 - Due date
DS2 - 39 + 6

Not here DD2 was incubated 28 days longer than DD1.

DD1 37+5
DD2 41+5
DD3 40+5
DS 40 weeks but an induction

dc1 - 40+9
dc2 - 40+16

Clearly it's just an old wives tale then! That's a shame. I was hoping to make an educated estimate of rough arrival date!
