Pregnancy

A few weeks left...the longest wait in history?!

I'm 37+5 and beginning to feel like I will be pregnant forever. Lots of weird niggles but nothing significant happening yet.

I know the entire daytime tv schedule off by heart, it's truly appalling. I have terrible insomnia so lie awake at night, plus it takes me about 20 mins to turn over in bed due to SPD and massive bump. I am growing out of my maternity clothes, never before have I felt so attractive!

Despite all this I can't wait to meet baby when they come.

Anyone else want to pull up a seat and discuss the joys of late pregnancy?Wink

Oh yes, I'm with you ladies. 37+5 here and totally had enough now. Am sitting here eating Dairy Milk wondering how I'm going to be able to put DD off wanting to build a snowman when I pick her up from nursery in a minute. Just want to sit on the sofa all day but not an option with a 4-year-old in tow!

Yep i'm now 40+7 and can't wait for the baby to be out. I had a sweep yesterday but nothing's happened, although I'm feeling more relaxed now knowing i'll be induced on Monday so have an end in sight!

I'm looking forward to using my coffee machine and having a shopping spree, all pressies from Christmas!

Orange tickle I know just how you feel. DD is 20 months & a v v energetic child, currently screaming almost constantly from hideous cold (which I also have) & molars.

I oscillate wildly between desperately wanting to meet baby & get pregnancy over & done with (am only 34wks!) then being v v nervous of how I'm going to cope with 2 under 2, then terrified at the thought if having to go through labour again (extremely traumatic first birth). Plus remembering feeling fed up & tired at end of first pregnancy then realising once my beautiful girl was finally born that actually life had been a tad easier & less tiring when she was still inside!

It's a minefield of crazy hormonal feelings at the moment isn't it?! Do I desperately want to meet my new baby or am I too scared by labour & newborn to even consider meeting my new baby soon?!

I'm utterly fed up now. Due date is a week today but I've grown out of all my maternity trousers. I didn't think I was as big as I was with DS, but I don't remember ripping my trousers while trying to get them pulled up with him.

DCs are going mad as we're stuck in the house most of the day due to the weather, and all I want to do is sleep.

Still, I have a cunning plan to bring on labour. I've organised DS's first speech therapy session for next Monday. Sod's law says I'll go into labour and have to cancel, after waiting so long to get a start date.

How's everyone else bearing up? Any twinges yet?

Glad I'm not the only one!! Think I need to at least pretend that I'm coping or the MIL has offered to move in to 'help', which would be as much fun as it sounds....

Must be nice to have an induction date: then at least there's a definite number of sleeps before something happens!!
