Sleeping on front

I've read that you're not meant to sleep on your back in pregnancy as it can restrict blood flow etc but I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and keep waking to find I have been sleeping on my front. I always turn onto my side when I realise but is it ok to sleep in this position?

My MW advised that it's whatever is comfiest for you. If you get in a position that isn't good for baby then your body wakes you up, achey or feeling sick.

I prefer to sleep slightly on my front with my leg cocked over my dream genii, which means bump isn't so squished.

Thank you. I hadn't had a chance to speak to my midwife yet.

I was curious about this too. When I lie on my front I can feel her kicking more and I don't know whether that's just because of where the pressure is or if she's saying 'Good God woman get off me!!'

Hope it's not the latter!!

I'm now 32 weeks and I can tell you, there's no way you'll be able to sleep on your front the entire pregnancy. My lovely hubby bought me a Mum-Ee pregnancy pillow and its been an absolute lifesaver. Now I can sleep on my side, supporting my back and Bump at the same time and it stops me from trying to lie on my front. I really recommend it for those who struggle to sleep any other way.

Thanks I might have to get one of those. To be honest it's already a struggle just turning over but somehow I always seem to wake up on my front Confused
