36+2 and no leaking or Braxton-Hicks?

I am 36+2 with DC1 and have had no leaking from my breasts whatsoever. They have definitely grown a couple of cup sizes but there's just been no leaking. There is occasionally a tiny amount of a kind of white powdery residue in my bra from overnight but I had assumed it was dry skin - so sorry if TMI!

Is this normal and/or not indicative of ability to feed?

I've also had no Braxton Hicks other than a few cramps which I wondered if qualified after spending a day bending, tidying and walking for many hours, and in the last few days a few painful baby-headbutts sensations but as they're just a few seconds I doubt they count?

hey with my daughter i didnt really leak much either. some people dont leak at all, my friend didnt leak anything. remember everyone is different :) and the powdery stuff you mentioned could have been a little milk that has dried? this happened to me too xxx

Normal. I never leaked in my first pregnancy, had an EMCS and my milk came in bang on schedule. Then I leaked!! Fed for 17 months!

I'm 35+2 and wondering the same thing. Good to know it's normal, however being a control freak I'm still worrying that I won't be able to feed Nipperette when she arrives.

Thank you mrsR and noble! That's good to hear. I saw a friend earlier who said she never had Braxton Hicks with her (big) DS: think as mrsR says, maybe not all of us feel them.

MW says no milk/leaking is normal but that I could try expressing just to see... haven't done so yet!

Stowsettler, exactly - worrying I won't be able to feed DS is the worst bit.

I'm only 28 weeks, but haven't had any BH either. Apparently they usually start mid-way through the pregnancy, and I'm well past that! Just checked the mumsnet page about them and apparently not everyone gets them at all, so it might just be we're the lucky ones?!
