Please read this thread, or at least the first page of comments, it is a long one..

There are far too many posts on MN about ladies feeling reduced movements and not getting medical assessment asap, lots of posts about having appointments later in the week, I'll just wait and ask then - PLEASE GET SEEN ASAP

Thanks this is useful, not something I'd thought about!

Just wanted to bump - this is really important and don't ever feel embarrassed that you're calling / goig to see your MW too much. With DD1 I could barely feel her moving and went into hospital nearly half a dozen times for monitoring. Each time the med staff were nothing but lovely and happy to report that the baby was fine.

This time around I feel constant movement bit I know that afternoon and evening is the time to expect major shifting and kicking. If there is a day that I don't feel it, I will be straight on the phone and into the car.

Please don't believe anyone who tries to tell you that baby's movements slow down as they get bigger / have less room.

Bumping again

I posted on the original thread. I counted throughout my pregnancy (although I bought the bracelet it was pretty useless as DS was kicking me literally hundreds of times a day Confused Grin )

I went in twice to get monitored as he'd stopped kicking. The first time I was told not to worry as I shouldn't even be feeling kicks by then Hmm (I'd been feeling them for a couple of weeks but they stopped because he changed position) but they happily put the monitor on to show me that all was well.

The second time the midwife was a bit more Hmm but again monitored me whilst implying it was a waste of time and was Shock to discover I was having contractions every 3 minutes and predicted I'd give birth within 24 hours (she was right). I was just pleased because I knew something was different and it was, it was just that I was having contractions so couldn't feel the kicks (he was born 3 weeks early).

Both times I felt a bit silly going to A&E but I'd read so many sad stories on MN that I preferred to be seen as a silly woman worrying about nothing, rather than ignoring it and risking the worst.
