Following on from teacups' thread, did you correctly guess your baby's sex?
I thought both mine were girls, only because we don't do boys in my family. I had one of each, so 50% success rate!

I new 99.9% from when i found out i was pregnant i was having a boy, i just had a strong feeling & i was correct.

But 2nd time round i did not have a clue, the only thing that made me think i was having a girl was i was very very ill 2nd time round but people kept saying every pregnancy is different, but it was a girl!

NotAnOtter · 18/04/2006 17:44

Ds1 thought he was a girl - wrong
DD thought a boy - wrong
DS2 sure he was a boy - right
ds3 sure he was a boy-right
ds4 SURE he was a girl ( sadly not!) - wrong!

coppertop · 18/04/2006 17:45

I 'knew' ds1 would be a boy.

My 2nd pregnancy wasvery different and I thought the baby might be a girl. 'She' turned out to be ds2. :o

My 3rd pregnancy was identical to my 2nd. Everyone, including the midwives on the ante-natal ward, was convinced it was a boy. I think we were all in shock when dd appeared. :)

With dd i thought she was a boy until about 7 months preggers and then one day I was walking down the road and it came to me like a vision! I was 100% certain that she was a girl.

Cadmum · 18/04/2006 17:55

I 'knew' with DS1 (I just could not buy a dress that was in the sales for $1.99 because it made me laugh to picture 'him' in it.)

I 'knew' with DD1 and was filled with dread as I thought that I would only have boys...

I 'knew' with DS2 and felt that it was 1/2 confirmed at nuchal scan done at King's before they knew that I didn't want to know...

I was less with DD2. I 'thought' that she must be a girl but I was less sick than with DD1 and it seemed too perfect to have two of each so I didn't dare to dream... Shortly before she was born the sonographer asked me if I had a feeling about baby's gender and then she had a 'peek'. I told her that I would be really shocked if it was a boy but then I felt embarrassed when she knew for sure and I was just guessing... Many people told me that they thought I was expecting a third boy so that threw me as well.

Yes. I remember after the birth my hubby saying "ITs a girl" and I just thought 'Of course its a girl, what did you expect?' as though he had sai something really dumb. I just knew I was having a girl. This time, I'm not quite so sure!

hunkermunker · 18/04/2006 21:13

First time, knew DS1 was a boy. Second time, knew DS2 was a baby.

intergalacticwalrus · 18/04/2006 21:18

DP was convinced we were having g girl. I got some kind of petty kick when, after 18 hours of labour and an emergency CS, they said the baby was a boy. I love it when DP is wrong.

This time round, I don't have a clue. I don't really mind either. I just hope he or she sleeps.

Oblomov · 18/04/2006 21:22

My dh always knows.
He knew with ds within a few weeks.
He is 100 % sure - has predicted 7 of our friends.
Always right.
Now have 3 frineds, who are desperate to know - and ...
He doesn't know !!!!

Jo2006 · 19/04/2006 12:28

Have you tried the chinese prediction charts?
I'm convinced bump is a boy, don't know why. Prediction chart says it's a boy too as do all other 'old wives tales' Will have to wait 'til spet to find out! (Unless its obvious on the scan in May.) Wink

queenrollo · 19/04/2006 15:22

i 'knew' ds was a boy......couldn't stop calling my bump 'he'. i dreamt during pregnancy that i met my baby and he looks exactly like he did in my dream.

Whizzz · 19/04/2006 15:23

Yes - I just had a feeling DS was a boy.

PiccadillyCircus · 19/04/2006 15:24

No.

Thought DS was a girl
And thought DD was a boy

I felt very strongly from before doing a pg test (I 'knew' I was pg, immediately) that DS was a boy. Didn't want to know officially and asked not to be told at scan or amnio - but we hadn't even thought of a girls name.

NatalieJane · 19/04/2006 15:42

I knew DS was a boy from the start, not so sure this time, but I have till November to work it out...
