i had no MS at all with DD (now 13 months) and had a perfectly healthy pregnancy. am currently 7w+2d and since 5+5 had terrible MS - throwing up 2-3 times a day and nausea all day from morning to night. Then yesterday around 7pm, i stopped feeling sick, and woke up this morning feeling fine.

Is this likely to be a missed miscarriage? had no bleeding or cramps, just stopped feeling sick. |I thought it's way too early for MS to stop? i read it stopped around 12 weeks.

very upset and emotional.

thank you.

should i maybe not worry unless I have cramping or bleeding? what about mmc? can the sudden disappearance of ms be a sign of that or should i not worry?

Phone your gp for advice and to put your mind at ease but this def does not mean the worst!

My morning sickness would swing between horrendous and not there, plus a lot of people say MS does not kick in till after 8 weeks so possibly the "real" MS is yet to start iykwim.

Obviously it could be bad news at early mc is so common but please don't stress about it until you know for sure.

okay thank you....not sure what a GP could say to put my mind at rest, all they could do is send me for an early pregnancy scan I'm guessing?

i'll give it to the end of the day and if I still have no sickness then I might call the GP and see what they say.

feel very upset though.

I don't think they will send you for a scan, the criteria is usually pain and bleeding not lack of symptoms. Most people find their symptoms go up and down, try not to worry about it, I certainly had lots of days where I felt fine at that stage and then the next day would feel awful.

At this stage there is no way of knowing what is happening, just try and relax and go with it, but be prepared that your GP may not be particularly sympathetic or forthcoming with NHS scans :(

Mines gone totally, I've gone from been sick 3x a day to none although sometimes I get waves of nausea. It's not uncommon to loose symptoms, usually they come back n go again. Placenta also starts to form around this point too x

Hi, I had this around the same time, had bad nausea and extreme tiredness for about 2 weeks then it just went and never came back. I am now 14 weeks and 12 week scan was fine. I paid for a scan at 8 weeks for reassurance too, it was well worth it

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 02/01/2013 11:51

Thank you for the reassurance everyone....I had a previous miscarriage and some bleeding and was sent for three early pregnancy scans in my last pregnancy (between 6 -8 weeks ), which is why i thought they may send me again. This time I had spotting (around 5.5 weeks) but the bad MS (lots of throwing up). Today it's absoluetly nothing, but i do feel very tired and had had some cramping, so not sure what to think.

thank you all again.

To reassure you too, I had a scan last week my sickness had stopped then, and there was a baby with a heartbeat. Cramping is normal I've got it bad today. Sure ur little 1 will be just fine xxx

sundaesundae · 02/01/2013 12:43

Cramping is almost certainly your uterus expanding. Your spotting was implantation and your tiredness is your body growing your baby. Worry when something goes wrong, not now. Try and stay calm and enjoy a little bit. Remember, today you are pregnant and that is a good thing :)

Thank you so so much, can't wait for the 12 week scan xx
