In my experience nothing gets rid of it (sorry) but I personally found eating little and often even if I did feel sick helped. If I didn't eat anything it got worse. I also found ice lollies good but I think you have to experiment to find what works for you. Ginger biscuits are great for some women but do bugger all for others!

eating often helps my nausea. for about 20 mins anyway!

Hi. I'm 8 weeks too. I had no MS with DD but have been feeling awful with this pregnancy. I've also had 2 MC and didn't feel nauseous with them either so this is all a bit of a shock. I've only been sick once but at anytime of the day can feel horribly nauseous. I find eating something does help and drinking lots of iced cold water. I tried ginger biscuits but they made it worse!

Hi. Try acupuncture - I had awful nausea in my first trimester, it was 24/7 - almost unbearable. Nothing helped so I resorted to acupuncture for the first time in my life. It wasn't cheap, but I had to have only two treatments and it really really helped.

I thought I'd escaped it this time as it started from 3weeks last time, but it kicked in this week at 6 weeks. It's been really, really awful and I've wanted to die at times. Worst though was the first 2 days when I spent all my energy trying not to be sick and just wretching. Once I actually was sick I remembered the temporary relief. If I hold it in I will feel nauseous all day, but if I'm sick I can be ok for up to a few hours!

So my tip is run upstairs when you feel particularly weak stomached and it should all come out and hopefully you will get some relief.

I also felt really nauseous in the first few weeks and the only thing that worked was eating every 2 hours and sleeping a lot. It passed around 10 - 13 weeks and now it's back (I'm 14+6), not too cold or sparking coke helps a bit specially when my stomach actually hurts. I've found it hard also because I don't know what to eat to feel better as most things make me queasy.... bread, pasta, rice... bland stuff seems to be ok.

Good luck it's not nice!

Hi, I swear by boiled sweets, especially lemony or sour ones. Its the only thing that gets rid of my nausea. Hope it helps you too!

Ice cold soda water (v fizzy type)
tic tacs
Salted crisps

Horrible... I feel for you

I am 8 + 3 too and whilst not being sick have had nausea pretty much every day from week 4.

Eating little and often has helped a lot - I always feel worst with an empty stomach. Rushing and stress also make it worse. A bit of distraction is also good as sometimes being anxious about being sick makes the nausea worse!

Belvoir ginger cordial is brilliant as you can dilute to taste and it is really gingery. It helps me when nothing else will! I also have ginger and lemon tea, Nairns ginger biscuits (more oaty and less sweet than ginger snaps) and frozen innocent smoothie tubes. Sour sweets like haribo tangfastics are ideal for on-the-go emergencies.

Hope some of that helps!

Try travel sickness pressure bands.....I had really bad nausea for about 10 weeks....eventually OB prescibed me Ondansetron...which tasted awful, but really helped.

I found sour stuff helped a lot. Either sour sweets, stuff like tangerines, dried sour cherries, chinese salted prunes. I also found Extra Strong Mints quite helpful.
