If the title didn't put you off, you're made of stern stuff..or a poo troll.Xmas Grin

I've been constipated all day, just managed to go and whilst wiping noticed brown fanjo blood.
Barely enough to notice, but I had a litle rummage around up there with a tissue & found a bit more (enough to convince DH I wasn't crazy).

Is it possible all the straining has pushed some old stuff out?

Any advice/experience welcome!

I'm 6+2, pg after a mc (so slightly panicky) & have a private scan booked for Friday (not registering with GP/MW until after then, unless I need to because of this).

Thanks so much for reading about my bowel movements Xmas Blush

I reckon probably so, brown is normally old blood and not normally too much of a concern if it dusnt change to pink/red.

If you get more or it changes I'd go to your gp or epu. I've had red spotting and then a little pink discharge happen within the past week I'm around 6+4, had a scan on Wednesday which was too early to show what was happening as I have a rear facing womb which makes it even more difficult to see what's happening. I feel fine though (very pregnant)

Take it easy try to relax and call gp if anything changes. X

I had spotting at around 6 weeks (just a little when I wiped). I asked my Midwife at the booking appointment and she said it's quite common between 6-8 weeks and caused by the embryo further implanting. I wouldn't worry unless it gets heavier and/or you get pain Xmas Grin

Implantation bleeding had it both times DDS now 6 and 4 x

I had this too, in my case it was due to cervical erosion which is where pregnancy makes the cervix more sensitive than normal, leading to spotting after sex or a big poo. It's harmless afaik.

Thanks to you all for replying & putting my mind at rest.
Very reassuring to hear it's normal.

Haven't had any more (wore a pad all night just incase) so fingers crossed it's a one off.
Weetabix for breakfast & luch today it is!

I had this at 7 weeks, ... Now 23 weeks. Sure you will be fine.

Gary I had some a few days ago, I believe it's quite common. On another note- weetabix is one of the worst things you can have if you're constipated, it will clog you up further! Try all bran or what I find the best is kiwi fruit- they're magical. If you're in dire straights try a really ripe kiwi!
