Sure I'm pregnant? Implantation bleeding but Neg Test

Hi all! We are trying for a baby and tried during my ovulation 2 weeks ago. I0 days later I felt very tired, had bad back ache and my beasts felt fuller. A few days later, so roughly 10 days post ovulation I went to loo and peed out a small stringy clot followed by a bit if red blood. Totally not period blood and also 4 days too early for my period and I'm regular. I was so worried, looked it up and was relieved to know it sounded like implantation bleeding, which I'd never heard of! For 2.5 days I had the same, a few small clots, redder blood and mild cramping. Now it's been 6 days and I just get a bit of pale brown 'blood' and only when I go to pee.

My period is 1day late which has rarely ever happened.

But again, negative pregnancy test, nd this is an early response one? I know I've read don't test until after implantation bleeding as it won't show up? But its confusing and frustrating its now gone on 5 days ( although very little for past 2). Has anyone had similar and gone on to get a positive result/be pregnant? Would really appreciate any thoughts or advice.

Hi I didn't have the bleeding but I knew I was pregnant but my test didn't show a postive until a week after I was due on and I tested every 2 days until then. U may of ovulated a little later than u thought and it takes a few days after implantation for the hormone to get into ur urine. Fx for u maybe test again in a few days xxx

Id think that was a period albeit a shorter one.

Thanks Kate that's so reassuring! Have gone through 6 test already.. Amber but have never got early period and this was so different from a normal period?

Implantation bleeding dusnt normally last so long, usually no longer then 2 days and its intermitent. Also its not as common as people think, through my 3 pregnancys I've never had implantation bleeding, some do get it but its not as common. Once implantation has occured, a blood test can pick the hormone up by around 2-3 days and HPT around 4-5 days. First responses are really really sensative, I used one 4 days before period due with ds2 and got a posative, although I ovulated day 12 so was 12 days po. The cycle before I got pregnant this time I had my period 4 days early when I am never early either and was just (tmi) stringy blood quit light, I reckond I ovulated earlier than I expected. As I wasn't preg, had an early scan this time which has confirmed I'm only as far as I thought I was. Id leave it a few days and re test, if negative I'd put it down to just a strange cycle, hcg doubles every 2/3 days so it should show up if you are. Fx for you though

Id never heard of implantation bleeding until I saw it on the internet. I definitely never had it with any of my pregnancies.

Ive got three boys.

I have had three miscarriages too, so have had my fair share of POAS!

I wasn't trying to have a huge brood, the babies and miscarriages sort of overlapped IYSWIM?

I have a bi cornuate uterus which was likely the cause of the miscarriages.

I hope you get your wish soon, I know I am very very lucky to have my boys.

Despite my periods always being regular for years as soon as we started trying everything went crazy! I had late ones early ones and I also had 2 periods where I had light spotting for literally half a day! Which had never happened in my life! Each of those times I was convinced that it was implantation bleeding because it lasted less than a day but sadly it wasn't. I know it's not what you want to hear and I know how easy it is to want to cling onto things because I've been there. But I got told by my doctor that sadly implantation bleeding isn't as common as it often seems and certainly not for more than a day or 2! When we did eventually catch I had no implantation bleeding but didn't test positive until my period was 3 days late! Fingers crossed it happens for you soon!

Could you please update? I have the same problem and it's been 6 days after implantation bleeding (what I believe it is)has stopped but still a neg test.i have irregular periods so I cant comment on the missed period. I think I would wait for 1 more week bcz then it would be 4 weeks post intercourse. Could anyone help please?

Hi guys, I’m cycle day 38, 11 days late for my period and still getting bfn everyday, I’m never late I also had implantation bleeding around 6 days after ovulation and not one sign of my period, I’ve had bloods showing hcg of 2 and booked in for a scan this week to investigate further, I’m so over not knowing

Hiya! im in the exact same situation!!! Spotting for 5-6, end of that got my ' what i thought was' period still very light, its come to the evening and my bleedings pretty much stopped, defos not my normal period!, took a test but bfn

Hiya!. Nope, turned out it was my period. But it was really strange!. I came on again after that for about 4 days which was my period!. If the amount that you are bleeding is increasing each day and bright red with some clots then its most likely your period!. But i know some women have said on other sites that theyve had IB (implantation bleeding) for more than the usual 2-3 days, and felt like it was their period but it wasnt and got a BFP. So you never know!!

Oh no! So you came on 4 days later?
I had a strange brown spotting 2 days before my period was due, then a very light bleed for 2 days with 1 or 2 tiny clots, pink not red and then I had 1/2 more days of pink spotting when I wipe... that was however over a week ago, and still BFN!! No bleeding since... Very odd!! X

So gutted that you got a BFN! You may have had a light period! Keep trying though if you are! Fingers crossed for you x . My cycle was way off this month! I had my period then 2 weeks later i came on again for 10 days!! Honestly so strange. Its annoying now though as my cycle is off and i dont know when ill be ovulating without taking ovulation tests! x

I had exactly the same thing but it turned out to be an anovulatory cycle (i.e. I didn't ovulate that month and so had a false period at a slightly odd time). I know because we were having infertility testing at the time. Not the only answer that could explain this but if you're getting negative tests it's unlikely that you are pregnant. Not impossible but very unlikely. Sorry - I know how gutting it is. It took us 3 years to conceive and then we lost 2 in a row. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi everyone don't no if you can help I'm on the pill and had some antibiotics that I didn't realise effected it I had unprotected sex time of ovulation one day before period was due I had white discharge with a little pink then nothing, then the following day when I wiped I had quiet abit of red blood just on tissue then it went brown this lasted two days it doesn't feel like my period and all I do is sleep im so tired all the time and feeling nauseous and insomnia all the signs at the beginning of pregnancyI did a test says negative but is this because I've done the test too soon if so how long shall I wait my period usually last 3 to 4 days any help would be greatful? Many thanks

Hi, am realli confused
I was suppose to start my period wednesday 4th aug.. i had very light pink/brown spotting when i wiped thursday.. this carried on for 2 days but not constant only sometimes when i went the loo and wiped. Also on the wednesday i had realli bad period cramps whoch i dont get
I took a pregnancy test yesday so tuesday 10th aug and was negative
I hve been grtting dull aches in my back and period like cramps also needing a wee abit more an feeling of coming on my period more wet (tmi) than usual like clear mucus all the time
Am really confused as pregnancy test was negative but i feel something isnt right and i always come on my period on time and its always heavy and lasts for 6/7 days

Have you had your vaccine recently? There’s not a day that goes by without someone posting on here something like your situation.
I wish scientists were more honest about this side-effect because the impact on women’s periods is not trivial and plays havoc with emotions especially for women who are ttc.
