Am 25 weeks pregnant. Woke up this morning with serious cramps and back ache, really hurt. Was feeling ok and then randomly started retching - went to loo and promptly threw up, wetting myself at the same time (God pregnancy is so glam). Feel ok now, pain gone and no more nausea... Has anyone else had anything like this?

Coincidentally, I have a midwife appointment at 11.30 today... Should I just go into work and wait til my appointment or do you think it might be serious?

Oh, pain is not gone, it just went away for a bit - am already at work now and feeling ache/cramp in my lower back on the left hand side. Ouch ouch ouch.

This had better not be early labour... haven't got a thing ready!!! Shock

Personally, I'd phone MW and ask for an earlier appointment just to be on the safe side. Could it be something you ate?

I don't know.... We did have chicken last night, something I've avoided for most of the pregnancy as I can't stand to cook it from raw. But it was thoroughly cooked and tasted delicious!

Will try to get an earlier appointment. Thanks, feeling a bit vulnerable right now :(

Could be a water infection Hmm I'd see the midwife.

I'd take the day off! Go to see the midwife as planned, take it easy today.
I've had the peeking whilst vomiting, not nice! :)

I agree could be a UTI, maybe that's tracked to your kidney? Easy to miss them in pregnancy (I have).

How are you feeling? Truthfully, if no better I'd be ringing the antenatal day unit and going in to be assessed to check you're not in labour - its unlikely however you are better safe than sorry. Good luck Thanks
