I just went for my 20 week scan, and my husband and I told the sonographer clearly from the beginning that we did not want to know the gender. I even asked if there was a point at which we should look away and she said no. The baby was still and had it's legs crossed for at least some of the time. However, the woman then did a lengthy examination of the legs/femur measurement from below (so you could see the pelvis and two leg bones sticking out) and I did not see anything between the legs. The baby was also listed as 'breech' on the report. Does this mean it is likely a girlas a penis was not visible between the legsas a boy would have been obvious from that position?
I DO want it to be a surprise, however now I feel like she accidently revealed it to be a girl--and would just like to know if I am making a completely wrong assumption, and that it could very well be a boy! I also had a look back at our 12 week scan and on babycentre there is an article about the 'genital nub', and ours looks exactly like the boy scan. So confused!
