Mild cramping at 5 weeks (Pregnant again after miscarriage)

I just wanted to know if this is normal? They are similar to the dragging pains you get just before your period starts - not painful or anything. The best way I can describe it is like a weird, heavy headrush in my abdomen :/ I also get them around the time that I ovulate. I found out I was pregnant three days ago after having these cramps for about a week.

I had a MMC at 9 weeks earlier this year and had similar cramps until the final week or two, so was seeking reassurance that this can also be a symptom of a healthy pregnancy!

I have had no sharp pains, and the cramps often navigate to my hips, lower back and thighs. Oddly I also get them in my calves from time to time!

A few years ago I had problems with ovarian cysts, and although subsequent check-ups have revealed that I have a very healthy cervix (one strange doctor even described it as beautiful, which creeped me out a little) I often get twinges and pains in the region where I had the surgery, so wondered if that could have something to do with it?

Help!

I am 8 weeks pregnant and still have cramps and pains in my uterus. Midwife said these pains were due to my uterus stretching to make room for baby. If your worried ot would be best to see your doctor or midwife just to be on the safe side x

I had period like pains and cramping in a perfectly healthy pregnancy for the first few weeks. Try not to worry!

Yes, I'm 4 wks pg and have had mild cramping, particularly in the days since my (assumed) implantation last week. I understand this is totally normal. Just the uterus limbering up for action Smile

But I'm not an expert, so if you find them really worrying then as the previous poster says, talk to your midwife.
