Can you go and buy another stick to pee on? What brand did you use?

butterflyexperience · 19/11/2012 16:43

Clear blue
Can't be arsed spending another £8 on a stick!

Going the doc might be pointless - some of them don't do tests at all any more. Your best bet is to just to go out and get another test.

butterflyexperience · 19/11/2012 16:48

Do they not?
Oh may have to venture out then
What's the best test to take ?

I would also go buy another stick. With ds dr told me to take another test myself rather than come in to the surgery.

TinkyPeet · 19/11/2012 16:51

Go for stores own brands, less expensive and do the same job, clear blue tend to be less sensitive anyway, try boots own or sainsburys own are highly rated xx

CailinDana · 19/11/2012 16:52

GPs expect you to do your own test. Some of them will have cheap-ass tests to give you but will see it as a waste of their time. If you do get a positive there's no need to go to the GP at all, they don't actually do anything other than refer you to the midwife. I just referred myself this time round.

I think MN opinion is that Superdrug do the best test but really any of them should do the job if your period is a week late.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/11/2012 16:52

First Response is quite responsive I think, or Superdrug own brand ones. ClearBlue aren't as sensitive as the pink ones, I think.

butterflyexperience · 19/11/2012 16:54

Thanks for the info clear blue was a waste of time then!
Am sending dh to tescos

We are quite excited! Thus may be dc3 :)

My doctors won't do tests. But I've always found cheap ones as good as expensive. Boots/super drug own brand are fine.

TinkyPeet · 19/11/2012 16:56

Good luck op, fx for you x

butterflyexperience · 19/11/2012 18:12

Congratulations! Thanks

Aspiemum2 · 19/11/2012 19:36

There's plenty of time to discuss birth options with your mw, please don't panic. Make sure they know your history so they can get support in place for you. And don't forget MN, I'm sure you'll find plenty of support on here too

In the meantime just enjoy Grin

butterflyexperience · 20/11/2012 07:07

Thanks aspie.
Will most definitely be on MN for support Smile
