I just sneezed and a small amount of wee came out. I'm almost 38 weeks. I clenched and hobbled to the toilet in horror.

The shame, I can NEVER tell DH can I?! Blush Shock Blush

Your DH must live in a sublime state of blissful ignorance that my poor DH could only dream of!

Do your pelvic floor exercises!

(And get used to it. Labour & delivery really messes up your pelvic floor. It took a week after having DC2 for me to have any bladder control at all.)

milkyjo · 13/11/2012 20:58

This happened to me at work at only 16 weeks. I carry spare pants in my bag now! And it was the first thing I told dh when he walked through the door! As you are term its OK, just keep up those pelvic floor exercises. I'm over my experience of shame as I know labour will bring a whole new level!

I had to explain to dh why I was changing my pyjamas after a particularly violent sick episode in the night.. He was v sympathetic.

bonzo77 · 13/11/2012 21:27

You've done well to get to 38 weeks without doing it already. I've had a terrible cough and been weeing myself a bit several times a day. I'm only 32 weeks! And am doing my exercises. Angry.

PragmaticWench · 13/11/2012 21:47

I'm horrified to be honest, I had only imagined this happening after the trauma of labour. I do my exercises already, better do them with more dedication, this is motivation!

So glad I'm not alone.

Bonzo - I'm 32 weeks with DC3 and have had a terrible cough for weeks too and have also been weeing myself. I always wear (scented) pant liners now and have a spare pair of knickers in my bag especially after I had a bit of an accident during a meeting and was convinced everyone knew!
Good news is, all went back fine after both my previous DC's births!

Dovetale · 13/11/2012 21:56

Don't worry I had a vomiting & diarrhoea bug a few weeks ago at 29 weeks pregnant and twice didn't make it to the toilet in time. DH to bring me clean knickers. Blush We are still married!

bonzo77 · 13/11/2012 22:34

poche I pissed past the pantyliners, through my joggers! Not a whole bladder full, but definitely enough. Much better now cough has eased. Was considering Tena a couple of days ago! Another thing in favour of an ELCS over vbac!

itsmyfirsteek · 14/11/2012 05:51

Don't worry, I wee every time I'm sick! My other half thinks its hillarious, he even laughed when I took my pj bottoms off cause they were wet and then I wee'd on the bathroom floor!

PeshwariNaan · 14/11/2012 11:26

Uh, I've been doing this since at least 26 weeks, and I laugh about it with DH. Why shouldn't he know what I'm dealing with? 'course, he heard me vomit about three times a day for 5 months, so my dignity's up and left at this point.

neolara · 14/11/2012 11:33

Is this your first baby? After your dh has seen you given birth, a wee-sneeze is really not going to seem a big deal. Am NOT going to tell you what my dh had to deal with while delivering my dc3 in absence of midwive.

kellestar · 14/11/2012 15:38

I can't remember when, but the SPD was playing up, middle of the night wee needed, having ishoos with hobbling down the stairs, almost to the bottom and DD decides to bounce about on my bladder and pee'd down the rest of the stairs. Our toilet is miles away, downstairs incidentally. That was mortifying, luckily the carpet was due for removal a few days later. DH was a bit Hmm as he really couldn't understand why I couldn't hold it.

After DD arrived DH was exhausted and got up in the night and somehow fell asleep in the hall, leaning against some coats on the coat rack. a few metres from the actual toilet and he woke up on the floor in a pool of his own pee.

So were even on the embarrassing pee stories
