Have a 3 week old and a sling which is doing fine for me. However grandparents etc may want to take her out at a later date and don't want to tie them up in a moby wrap against their will.

Am overwhelmed with sleep deprivation and breastfeeding and baby blues and cannot face research, please help, wonderful mumsnetters!

Criteria:
Lightweight (live in an upstairs flat)
Small (live in city centre, don't want to navigate a giant jeep of a pram around town)
Folds small (I have a small car)
Suitable for newborn but will be ok for older child too
Not bothered by brands etc, maybe something i can pick up second hand on ebay?

Yes BJCM definitely best for bumpier ground than the maclaren.

Grandparents bought us a 3 wheeler I found really cumbersome, so I bought a Cossatto pushchair. It was great. Lightweight. Easy to unfold and sturdy. It went everywhere - in small car (fiesta) and on bus/train too. A bit of mud, grass and tree roots in the park was no problem for it and still a smooth ride/easy to push. DD who has always been tall for age used it until about 3.5yrs. Sadly had to throw it away but it had very heavy daily use and it's demise was not helped by grandad leaving car seat on top of it! 6 months pregnant now and will be looking for another one.

Thanks for all your help

Have had a good look at suggestions and decided to fork out for the city jogger one, or rather parents are insisting on buying it for us bless them, so I will let you know how it is shortly!!

Really am lost in post-birth newborn one-handed life, breastfeeding every 30 minutes, so am very grateful for help on this.

squid I found MN a haven when doing that permenantly-connected stage, the BF boards helped reassure me that it was normal and the other boards kept me entertained and informed! Beware, you'll be here in 2 years' time talking about potty training!

squidkid · 23/10/2012 14:54

ooh, where are the breastfeeding boards? I have loads of questions!

I cant link on my phone but if you go to the full topics list, under 'feed the world' it is sub-grouped there. There's the occasional breast/bottle bunfight but you can skip those and start your own threads asking questions :) those ladies definitely saved my sanity and I ended up bfing for nearly 2 years, so I give them oodles of credit!
