Low on iron - bad for me or baby?

I HATE HATE HATE HATE iron tablets.

I took one and remembered how much - so I don't want to take them, but I don't want to do that if it is potentially harmful to the baby.

Thanks.

I was low in iron in pregnancy and really wanted to take the liquid, health food shop options rather than the harsh pharmacy tablets but, after a bit of research, it was clear the only guarantee of getting my iron levels to where they needed to be in time (they were;t in fact particularly low but they don't recover overnight) was the tablets - ferrous sulphate. Took two instead of three a day, with orange juice, and it worked. There is much more in the tablets than the liquids, as ivanpoo says. Do what your doctor says. XX
