What food to pack in the hospital bag?

I'm pg with DC2, DD was a premie so had no hospital bag packed at all. I think I have all the clothing, breastpads, wash stuff etc. sorted but what food items to pack?
I have one bottle of energy drink and some cereal bars but what else?

I just wanna say I love this thread! I plan pretty much everything around food and I'm so glad to know I'm not alone in thinking about what to eat during/after labour! AND I can't wait to get home and have a few of theseWine

As this will be my first time giving birth, the only thing I have to compare pain-wise is a 7 hour tattoo session, not the same I know but I stuffed my face with crisps, chocolate, peanut m&m's, sugary tea and a kebab after. I'll probably apply the same tactics.

:) My labour ended up being 1 hour and 4 minutes...I had no time to eat or drink!! Just push and breath on that lush gas and air... :)

Tiny baby boy had to spend 2 weeks in hospital but we are finally home, he was a bit early at 35+5.

I have food restrictions and know I won't be able to eat any of the hospital food. I am taking the 'usual' snack bars, crisps, sweets and fruit, and also have some frozen pasties that I plan to throw in at the last minute - they should be nicely defrosted by the time I am ready for them after the birth.
