I don't know Bumpity. Some people do it for a laugh, for some people it's attention seeking and sometimes it's MH problem. Munchausen Syndrome for example. Google the Emma Boywer story, it makes you realise how easily people can lie on the Internet.

Flossiechops · 03/10/2012 18:34

I think it's the thrill of the attention to be honest. They obviously are sad individuals with not much else to do. I don't get it either Confused

Pickles, if you want to help but don't want to risk being suckered, come and join us on the blankets - look for the Team Hooker thread in Arts and Crafts and we'll teach you how to crochet :)

The spelling and grammar in the op got me - can't spell nauseous but separates didn't into did not? Teenagers don't write, or use language, like that. Another one who reported without posting - have done so several times, and MNHQ welcome that approach. If you have a hunch, report. The sooner it's pulled, the less harm is done.

Dp moderates a forum and there's all kinds of technical wizardry they can use to link posts to IP addresses etc and suss out dodgy folk.

i already crochet badly who do you make stuff for or am i getting the wrong end of the stick crochet needle?

Pickles77 · 03/10/2012 20:02

My crochet is dire lol

PurplePidjin · 03/10/2012 21:27

Skill is not as important as love and effort. If your child was ill in hospital and someone gave them a handmade comfort blanket instead of a scratchy hospital one, dropped stitches and soggy tension would not be uppermost in your mind!

Knitting and sewing also fab - i suggested crochet cos i can talk you through it :o

Hi there!
This may be nothing I know,
But I also followed this girls posting, and from early on felt something not quite right with it,

Looking through the new postings just now and came across the post below:
Busy teacher and mum Possibly pregnant on the implant took a st johns wort tablet?

Something is just not ringing true again.....
Many similarities, same implant, same feeling of movement,
Same reluctance/unable to get to GP, same taking of St Johns Wart,
Same really bad spelling like last sentence where she spells NO instead of KNOW. Could this be the same troll/different story??
I'm fairly new to MN and don't know how to report it, or even if I should then i remembered this post and thought someone here may be able to help!
(Sorry in advance if I'm being REALLY bad minded)

eagleray · 16/10/2012 21:34

AlisonDB - EXACTLY what I thought! (not the spelling/grammar standards you would expect from a teacher!)

Dandelion75 · 16/10/2012 21:43

I thought that too alison and eagle

Was also surprised to see the user name appeared to be an actual name rather than an anonymous nickname..... Either the return of the troll, or a teacher who can't spell. Not sure how to report it either......

BigBroomstickBIWI · 16/10/2012 21:48

If you look to the right ---> along the blue line of the poster's name, you'll see three buttons: Add message Report Message Poster

Click on report and that will go to MNHQ

Dandelion75 · 16/10/2012 21:49

Thanks broomstick!
