I'm 10 weeks pregnant. Had a scan at 8 weeks, as not sure of dates. All was good, heart beat and in right place. I've had 4 days of a brown/bloody mucusy discharge (sorry if TMI). Terrified I'm miscarriaging. I've had 2 previous pregnancies with no problems. Anyone else had this?

Yayy! Grin So glad for you. x

Great news Dappy. Don't be too worried if you have another bleed today or tomorrow though, I often bled more after a scan.

Dappylittlemomma · 27/09/2012 11:14

Such a huge relief, I do feel emotionally exhausted from worry, am so happy though. It was a trans-vaginal scan, which took me a bit by surprise. All your hand-holding really helped.

Very very happy for you. I bled for the first four months of my first! Not a single problem otherwise x

have you got sickness at all? i read somewhere that bleeding in the early days is usually fine if you have scikness but more worrying if you dont... not sure how true it is

Dappylittlemomma · 29/09/2012 14:05

Bright bleeding continuing, has been for 3 days now, after 4-5 days brownish/ bloody discharge. All v odd and worrying, although all fine on scan and uterus os completely closed.- where is it coming from? Slight nausea as I've had throughout first trimester. I'm feeling v stressed about it, trying hard to take it easy, no caffine, no exercise, no sex, I'm exhausted!

It might be a haemmorage(sp?) on your uterus wall, which is basically like a small graze that you might get on your knee etc. Sometimes the 'scab' will come away, causing a fresh bleed, which would be red. It's very stressful, I know, I've been there. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

Dappylittlemomma · 30/09/2012 12:09

Thanks BedHog. The sonographer seemed sure that my uterus was ok on thurs, but who knows. Maybe it is a graze type thing. Hopefully bleeding will stop soon.

I had EXACTLY the same thing at 11 weeks. Bright red blood, had scan next day, all fine. No idea why. For the next week, I had brownish, end-of-period blood and discharge when wiping which gradually got less and stopped.

Am currently 23 weeks and fingers crossed, all seems well.

It seems that this sort of scary experience isn't uncommon.

Best of luck for your pregnancy x

Sad news- bleeding got v v heavy, so went back to hospital and had had a miscarriage. Had to have an evacuation, which was all a little grim. SadSad

Oh Dappy I'm so sorry! I also went through the same: good scan & heartbeat at 8+5, only to have minimal flecks of blood at 11+5 - a scan showed that the baby had died at 9ish weeks. It was heartbreaking. I also had surgery (the easier option, I think, for me)

Apparently it's a

BedHog · 02/10/2012 18:15

Sorry to hear that Dappy, that's really crap. Please look after yourself, I hope you've got good people around you to look after you.

I found the miscarriage board on here really helpful and supportive when I had mine.

chezziejo · 02/10/2012 19:19

Glad all is well. I bled with two of my pregnancies one is currently dancing to Justin's House and the other I'm 33 weeks with the other. Scary tho when it happens.

chezziejo · 02/10/2012 19:20

Bicnod · 03/10/2012 17:44

Oh Dappy I'm so so sorry :(

Be kind to yourself x

Dappylittlemomma · 04/10/2012 03:29

Thank you all for your kind messages. I'm so sorry for all you who have gone through similar, or worse. It is such a horrid thing to go through. I'm living in a foreign country, so missing having family close. I do have two healthy little children though and an amazing husband who has been so strong and supportive through it all, which is a comfort. I'm just v glad we hadn't yet told our DDs about the baby.
