Hi guys, I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and just drawing up a list of the things I still have to get organised and done before the little fella decides to make an appearance. I have all the usual suspects down like; wash put away all baby clothes, put up cot and fit bedding etc........

I was just wondering if there are any tips the more exp among us can share to make the first fortnight or so more bearable? I was thinking of making up a batch of dinners and freezing them (easy stuff like shepherds pie)...........and I've just booked a bikini wax for the week before I'm due!

Any other hints and tips???

Go to lovely restaurants, go to the cinema, clear out & sort out at home - good luck.

If it's your first do all the things you most like doing that mightn't be so easy once the baby arrives - I went the theatre and the cinema, had lunch with friends and ate lots of ice cream. You'll be able to buy baby gear any old time.

With your first baby the time between going on maternity leave and having the baby might be the longest time for the next 20 years when you are at home without children.

Ha ha - well funny to get up this morning and read all the posts left overnight.....and god there is some common sense coming through there!

  1. I am def. going to spend some time making up big batches of food and sticking it in the freezer, as everyone agreed with that one.

2)I have a spa day booked this weekend with my mum and sister (mothers day treat for my mum) so I am having a pedicure and a pre-natal massage....bliss.

  1. Determined to have a lie in at the weekends - even if my body automatically wakes up at 8am .... mainly due to the ongoing shock of not having had any alcohol the night before Blush.

  2. Had my hair oloured and cut at the weekend in preparation for looking a right state for the coming 6 months.

Morning paper - where did you get a book rest?? Sounds like a fab idea.
