After 4 positive pregnancy tests over the last 2 days I think I can pretty much accept I am currently pregnant. Probably about 4 weeks. Problem is I have had 3 miscarriages (all in about the last 6 mths) all around the 6 week-ish mark. I do already have a healthy DS who i had no trouble concieving or carrying.

Dr's have begun testing me for hormone levels this cycle, awaiting the progesterone levels back and this was on day 21. Can anyone arm me with any information that may be helpful, i keep hearing talk of progesterone boosts and self administering these but don't know what that means?

I can't get excited at this pregnancy as i am so worried it will go the same way as the others. Any help/ support appreciated!

Hi Miggle

Congratulations! I've also had m/cs. You most likely will be prescribed cyclogest pessaries - I was on 2 a day, though I had my levels done yesterday and they were a little on the low side o am on one cyclogest in te morning, and a gestone injection in the evening.

Good luck!

Hi, I'm in a similar situation as you - currently 20wks pregnant after multiple miscarriages. As I became pregnant again before all the recurrent mc testing was complete, my consultant decided to prescribe progesterone suppositories through to 12wks. I've also taken 75mg of aspirin since my BFP and will continue this through to 32wks. The aspirin is self-prescribed but my consultant, GP and midwives all know I'm taking it, and have okayed it as even if it doesn't actually help it can't hurt, iyswim.

The bottom line for me is that I don't know if the progesterone and aspirin have helped/are helping but this is the furthest I've ever gotten in a pregnancy and everything looked spot-on healthy at our 20wk scan this week.

The suppositories were a little icky to deal with (I followed other MN's suggestions to administer them at night Wink), but it was quite straight forward, really, and I have never regretted accepting the consultant's prescription!

Good luck as you go forward - I know it's hard to get excited at this point when everything feels so tentative.
