My best friend has announced she is pregnant and is feeling pretty rough with sickness and tiredness so I thought I'd do her a little bundle. Does anyone have any ideas for what I could include?

Herbal and fruit teas, homemade/posh ginger biscuits*, nice decaf coffee, lavender wheatie bag, soft fluffy slipper socks, her favourite bath bubbles...

Go round and deal with a load of laundry/run the hoover round/clean out the cat tray...

What a lovely thing to do :)

*sugary chemically ginger nuts do not help!

You could put some nice smellies in for her to pamper herself with, also anything that might ease the sickness - ginger is supposed to be good - maybe some nice ginger biscuits/ ginger and lemon herbal tea (I drank that a lot in early pregnancy when I couldn't keep much else down). Also some of that balm you rub on temples/pressure points to help you sleep - I think it's called Badger Balm (I got mine in Boots) is nice. What a lovely friend you are :)

oops cross posted with PP. Also - chocolate! Grin funnily enough I always managed to keep that down...

I loved The Sanctuary mum to be stuff, early on in preg my smell was all off and this range is very faintly scented, plus its lush! More than one person has bought me a tub of the body butter (also suffered really dry skin) and it was a life saver.

A really lovely idea, what a wonderful friend x

Ginger and Lemongrass cordial by Bottle Green (they sell it in tesco) was an absolute lifesaver, and if you mix it with sparkling water it almost works as a morning-sickness-curing-champagne-substitute Grin

Teapigs herbal teas, perhaps in peppermint or a ginger flavour?! The peppermint is amazing.

Only warning on ginger is I got so sick of everything ginger to take away the sickness that I now can't really abide it because it reminds me of how ill I felt!!

I'll second the Sanctuary stuff. Plus, if feeling tired, rotten and ropey, a could of weeks of a cleaner would be absolutely ace.

Some nice massage bars from Lush to rub on her growing bump.

And offer to hoover/iron/make dinner/weed the garden.

A hot water bottle.

Any products that are unfragranced.

Ask her on the day if she fancies any particular food- with me my tastes varied from day to day.

A relaxing book/film.

As she is tired she may not be bothered to go out, so maybe some DVDs :)

Aah, what a lovely friend. (My 2 childless best friends seem to have vanished so I am very jealous not to have you as my friend!)

She probably hates anything strong smelling so maybe some 'Simple' smellies, plain foods like salted crisps, rich tea biscuits or maybe something for the baby like a netural baby grow or bootees or hat to remind her what a wonderful thing she'll have after going through the icky months beforehand.
