Hi there,
I have just found out that I'm pregnant after 3 positive tests. I've calculated that I'm 4 weeks according to my last period but probably just over 2 in reality. I've phoned my doctors but can't get an appointment until over a week away and I have so many question that I'd appreciate some advice.
Firstly, should I start taking special vitamin tablets? If so, which brand? Also, my one boob keeps aching (sorry) but is normal to just be one? Finally, I'm convinced the doctor is gonna say that it's not true or something's wrong. Is this a normal way to feel?
Thanks for any support as i don't know who talk to in the meantime
:-) xxx

Start taking Folic Acid and Vitamin D - Which you can usually find combined in a pregnancy multi-vitamin. I take Pregnacare, but there are quite a few to pick from.

Don't worry about having to wait to see the Dr's, it's just for a referral to your midwife - but some GP surgeries allow you to self refer and make your own appointment with the Midwife, which you need to do around 8 -10 weeks to book in.

Congrats on the BFP :)

Start taking pregnamcy vitamins which contain folic acid. Pregnacare is what I took/take.

Its normal to feel like its all a bit surreal. With my first I didnt believe it until the first scan at 12 weeks.

As for the sore boob, I woukd say normal. Thats only the start of things to come. Random aches and pains and thoughts and feelings are par for the course.

MN is your friend when you need to check if something is ok or not!!

Congratulations :)

Hi Bunnychan.

If you suffer with constipation anyway, I'd advise a pregnancy supplement with less iron than the pregnacare, like sanatogen or Tesco and Sainbury's own brand.

One of my boobs was more sore than the other for ages (now they're just massive!). Re the doctors, all mine did was check my blood pressure, calculate my due date and did some initial bloods (because I'm overweight). Then he told me to make a biking in appointment with the surgery's midwife. Here's what you'll find weird. They don't tend to question whether you're really pregnant! They go by the tests you've done at home because they're as accurate at what the docs use. The only time they double checked is when I was ill and turned up at a&e!

I would work out when you're due - probably around the end of May? And go to the ante-natal clubs section and find a thread for your due date month and you'll find people in a similar position to support you! :)

Oh and congratulations!
