Hello! I haven't any tips but would also welcome some! I'm 28 weeks and am getting RL all night!

It's often caused by low iron levels so try upping your intake of iron rich foods. I alo found that 2 paracetamol before bed also helped.

I suffered from his awfully during pregnancy, I found a hot bath literally just before bed help as it help to relax the muscles and help sleep. I think there are things you can take so you should ask your doctor. Sympathies though its horrible.

I'll try an iron tablet tonight, and then maybe a couple of paracetamol tomorrow if no better.

Love baths too :)

Thanks all.

I feel your pain. Do get your iron levels checked out, but it might not be the cause (mine were fine). Hot bath or shower helps. Also doing some 'stretchy' exercises before bed works for me. I've also heard that eating bananas and drinking tonic water (for the quinine) can be helpful.

I've been told its magnesium you need, and know several people with restless legs and leg cramps that have resolved by taking a magnesium supplement. Never had it though, so probably best to ask your midwife about it. Hope it improves!

All of the above, and I've taken to massaging my calves and feet with lavender oil just before bed - seems like when I wake up in the morning, the soles of my feet are also really tender, like I've been walking all night.

It must also be a circulation thing so baths and massages that focus on draining the lymphatic nodes (go in upwards sweeps towards your thigh) really helps.
