I'm 37 weeks pregnant now, every time the baby moves it either hurts or makes me want to wee or gives me heartburn.

I don't like it. Everyone keeps saying how lovely they found it and how they missed the movements when they gave birth, but I know I won't miss this. It's horrible, it hurtsSadAngry

I agree colditz - being pregnant is pretty horrible and I'm sure I won't miss the kicking, poking, pushing, shoving etc that's going on inside of me. I'm only 28 weeks pregnant, but am naturally very slender, so every movement of the baby physically shakes me from side to side.

Then, last week, baby didn't move all day - I was practically begging it to beat me up again just to know everything was alright. Baby has obliged a little too eagerly since then....

I can't seem to find the happy balance!

I quite like mine

it makes me laugh as it only moves when I change position, it moves in a sort of irritated grumpy way as if I am disturbing its sleep.

Those shocks on your bladder as they bump their head around are horrible I agree, mine did it this morning during my staff apparaisal and I nearly jumped out of my skin

Colditz - you are not alone. I hate being pregnant. I do not like anything about it and no-one could pay me to be pregnant again. I am a lovely mother when the children arrive and I do look forward to babies arrival but I do not do pregnancy at all. Not everyone is the same. I am 33 weeks pg now and each moevement hurts and makes me squirm.

i am 27 weeks pregnant and am now beginning to start to hate pregnancy more and more. i hate not being able to drink and eat what i like and the movements make me wriggle and squirm. i love knowing i am going to get a baby at the end of it but i hate the wait!!i quite often catch myself just staring at my stomach willing it to move but then when it does i don't like it lol.

ooh yes I once got a foot wedged under my ribcage for a few days and it was hell

Do miss it though

bakedpotato · 05/04/2006 17:38

Oh yes, it felt like wire coathangers in a washing machine

Colditz, ds was footling breech for ages and he used jump up and down on my bladder too - and stick his bum out. It was very uncomfortable sometimes.

dd used to scramble around a lot, especially when I was trying to got to sleep. She would constantly poke her hands and feet out against my stomach.

Countess, I remember having a bath one afternoon very late in pregnancy. I lay down in the bath and so did dd - and she wouldn't budge for about 20 mins so I was stuck in the rapidly cooliung water all alone, prodding and poking for all I was worth but she would not get her feet of my ribcage! It was a horrible sensation.

God..memories of the last few weeks for me..it felt like he was doing somersaults and made me gasp out loud sometimes..like someone ws churning solidified misshpen concrete in my stomach
he was only tiny aswell

My friend broke one of his mums ribs when he was in utero...argh!

Saying that i miss the kicks now he's born...

crazydazy · 06/04/2006 15:15

I noticed that the strength of DS's kicks seemed to hurt a lot more than DD's, mind she was born 5 weeks early and he was only 3 weeks early.

I really hated being pregnant from start to finish and absolutely dreaded the birth as I am such a wimp so I can totally sympathise Colditz.

Cannot understand these women who "love" being pregnant. It was only because I wanted my baby to be healthy that I think I got through the whole 8 months. I sometimes think I wished them on too early as I never made it to term. Both of them were healthy and good weights though.

Keep your chin up Colditz. Smile

I can completely empathise with you I thought the heartburn and SPD with DD1 was bad and she was born at 37 weeks nothing prepared me for the last few weeks with DD2 on top of the heartburn, worse SPD I felt like my hoo haa was at my knees, the kicks, bumps movements were horrendous, I felt like I was going to burst and then I went 12 days overdue before she finally decided to appear 10 weeks ago today and I don't miss being pregnant I like my internal organs in their right places!

lazycow · 06/04/2006 15:52

I hated the last month. The movements hurt and the heartburn was horrendous. Ds was 10 days late too which was torture. Despite the awful post birth experience I had I certainly did not miss the last couple of months of pregnancy. they are much worse than the labout in my opinion and I had what I condidered a pretty painful labour
