If so are they worth the money?

By 'e-pillow', do you mean the headphone pillows? If so, yes. My husband just got me one for my birthday last week so that I could listen to my iPod when I woke up at night without waking him.

It's okay, but not great (and he said he got the most expensive one he could find). It's just got a pocket in it where a small speaker goes, so it's not hyper-technical. You have to make sure the speaker is positioned right beneath your ear or it's too quiet and doing that in the middle of the night can create some disturbance. I haven't had it very long, so these are just first impressions.

If we're talking about two totally different things then I apologise. Blush

I mean the pregnancy pillow that's shaped like an e that you sleep on. But great info on earphones Wink

I've got one. I am still getting used to it tbh but it has helped my awful back and hip pain. I think it'll be better as i get bigger and need more bump support. Quite a few of my friends absolutely swear by them though.

I have a dream genii, similar thing I think. I am 35 weeks now & can't sleep without it now Grin

Oh poo, how embarrassing. I should have known that my un-mumsy mind would immediately leap to the gadget option rather than the maternal one.

Oh well, I'm only 18+4 so I suppose I still have time to get into the correct mindset.

Enjoy your comfy pillows everyone. Blush

Actually, my back is hurting a bit. Maybe I'll keep an eye on this thread - it might be useful. At what stage in your pregnancy did you invest in one?

Never knew my life would become so full of such specialised pillows.

I was thinking of getting one of these too but I'm not sure. They seem really expensive for what they are. Anyone else think they're worth it?

Secondsop · 17/09/2012 22:15

witchity I got mine at 27 weeks just a few days ago as that was when my back and hips REALLY started to hurt so badly that I could barely move. Assuming I get used to it (at present it's GREAT for 2/3 of the night and then I end up kicking it away) it'll be well worth it for me if it helps me remain mobile and go to work.

I had a bolster pillow with ds1 It was abit heavy but I remember not being able to sleep without it because of hip and back ache. Looking at options for next one as it will be my 4th pregnancy (only one full term though) and my body feels a lot older than it did.

Thanks, Secondsop. Guess I'll hold off for a bit and see how I go before buying.

Orenishii · 18/09/2012 09:37

I got a Snoogle, which is just like a 6 shape or a G - it was invaluable for about 24 weeks or so. Now at 36 weeks, it just adds to the general sense of being pinned down in bed, struggling to move/turn over/get up/ get out of bed etc.

But I guess that's just late pregnancy, and 24 weeks worth of amazing comfort isn't bad going!

Weepo · 18/09/2012 10:18

I got a dream genii which I think is similar and I found it made a huge difference from about 18 weeks till recently when, like Orenishii, I have been struggling in any position for any length of time (now 34 weeks).

I went for the dream genii as I got it in a deal and it works as a nursing pillow/back support once baby is born too.

I travel a lot for work and really missed it when I was in hotels despite all the extra pillows provided to help me get comfy.
