Pitting Odema on shins at 25 weeks

Hello, can you give me some advice, i'm not really worried but i noticed a bit of odema on my shins today - this is number 5 for me and i haven't noticed it this early before its usually after 30 weeks but i have been on my feet alot today - shopping, cooking ect.

Im on insulin for type 2 diabetes and being seen in the day assessment unit every two weeks for a blood pressure series which has been fine -from about 32ish weeks last time it did go up and i took methyldopa for it and it went back to normal after my cs. I take baby asprin as well just in case of PE but i have never had it before (i suppose the consultant just put me on it just incase) I am 40, overweight ect but all seems to be ok so far.

Just looking for reassurance really, is it possible to start to get mild swelling at 25 weeks? I have been on my feet a fair few hours i suppose - Im just terrified of getting some really shitty complication early on (as if diabetes isn't enough to manage) and although my BP was great last week is mild odema a symptom of PE? My ankles are fine at the moment which is how i know its mild - they blew right up at the end of my last pregnancy.

Thanks ladies :)

Sorry, I really don't know! I had pre-eclampsia with my last pregnancy and my hands and face swelled right up.

Given that you already have health issues, might be worth just giving your MW a call if you still have it tomorrow?

Can odema be a sign of diabetes anyway? I know pretty much nothing about diabetes, but my uncle has it and I seem to think he has problems with odema?

I hope everything works out ok for you.

Thanks for the reply. I have never had odema with just my diabetes only in late pg in my last couple of pg's - hands and face (and ankles are fine) so its probably just one of those things - i'm back in DAU for another BP series next week anyway.
