Swollen feet

Hey
Just wondering if anyone can giv me advice on swollen feet. I know swollen feet is a common complaint but was wondering how you know if its 'just' swollen feet or if it's best to seek advice.

I've sailed through the first 25 weeks, (apologies to those who haven't) but went to bed with very swollen feet last night.
Got up this morning and my feet had gone down but not completely. Work trainers were too tight to wear. It's 11 am now and both feet are very swollen again.

Assuming all is fine, I'm happy to put up with swollen feet but just wanted to know at what point do I seek further advice?

TIA, x

I'm 33+5 and feet have been swollen for a few weeks, they do come and go with the heat and change in temperature but I've kind of resided myself to the fact that its normal. Blood tests and pressure all seems normal and fine but I'm trying to alleviate the symptom by keeping feet raised every so often, and I go barefoot when I can just to keep them cool. I guess if you feel like they're very swollen and not going down at all and causing you a lot of discomfort its worth a chat with your MW or doctor, it doesn't harm to ask. Hope you feel better soon xx

Here you go. There's tons about it on line though. It should ease off when the weather cools down a bit, but my advice is to try to keep it under control now or it will get very sore and painful as you get heavier.
Swimming/acqua-natal classes really help as does drinking lots of water weirdly.

When swelling is serious
You should seek medical attention immediately if your face, feet or hands swell up suddenly. A pregnancy condition called pre-eclampsia can cause sudden swelling like this. If it happens to you, contact your midwife, doctor or hospital immediately. If you do have pre-eclampsia, you?ll need to be monitored carefully, as the condition can be serious for both you and your baby.

Other signs of pre-eclampsia can include:
?severe headache
?problems with vision, such as blurring or flashing before the eyes
?severe pain just below the ribs
?vomiting
