31 weeks bump dropped

People keep noticing that my bump is very low (which is true, it moved down about a week ago). Is this a sign of premature? I can feel a lot movements both at lower (almost just around pubic bone) and near belly button level. Belly button has not been pushed out yet, so the baby is sure not "cooked"!

I know a couple of ladies in my company had 2mth early babies... Thinking of asking midwife but will check with mumsnet ladies first.
Cheers

I think it's around this time when baby engages (so does drop down a bit) in preparation for birth.

DD did this when I was 32 weeks. It felt a bit funny when I walked sometimes too.

Thanks Nbq, I've asked NCT teacher she does not think is a sign of premature. Midwife app. next week so I'd ask her as well.

i am only small and until recently everyone kept saying how my bump was very high, but recently everyone has been commenting on how low it is. sometimes i do feel as though the baby is literally about to fall through my legs, but at others it feels fine. my belly button is popped out.
